I think you’ve made the right choice Lshak, Psychs never have been for you man. I think people are just getting a bit defensive because you said dmt is the devil, you probably said it in the wrong context, dmt being the devil is simply your own opinion, you came across as preaching a little bit.
I hope you have a great life dude and it’s been nice having you around x

If movies have signs in and are talking to you, then this does sound like very much like a psychotic problem.

Ah, BULLSHIT. People see all kinds of communication and information in obscure forms all the time.

It’s like saying anyone who sees meaning in Pink Floyd lyrics is psychotic.

True psychosis is an overwhelming urge to act due to an overwhelming fear – fight or flight.

Labelling someone like that without an overwhelming act/fear complex is bang out of order. I appreciate that is your honest opinion but it’s meaningless.

That is not an accurate description of psychosis it does not need to involve any fear necessarily.

I think it’s more accurate than DF’s posting, and people fear what they hate, and hate what they fear.

I think by psychotic DF meant delusional. My mate, started to think that Jesus was sending him cryptic messages in car number plates. That isn’t just attributing meaning like you would to Pink Floyd that is a delusional train of thought. It got worse and worse to the point that the ‘messages’ started to make sense to him and he started to act on their requests.

Having delusions, especially egocentric ones where you believe that you are being singled out or are somehow special (like God is specifically sending you messages) can just be as a result of doing too many psys, especially where you may have an existing, undiagnosed condition.

Psychosis is a different thing altogether.

Look, if you won’t believe me on this, PLEASE, listen to Chrispy. I’m not qualified, he is.

                  “Delusional” is another label.

So, you like labels? Here’s one for you.

OK. Quite frankly I reckon all psychologists are delusional. They claim never to hear voices, and apparently believe that having no inner voice, no discussion, is a healthy thing.

The only people I know that definitely do not have such a non-vocal internal dialogue are dead.

In other words – psychologists are full of shit, opinion masquerading as fact. Just applying labels to keep people in line, and drugs when the labels fall off. By comparison religion is less delusional.

This does sound like a psychological problem to me, luckily there is a lot of help out there for you if you look for it (I would start by talking to your GP )
In the mean time lay of the drugs, eat healthy and avoid stress.
I really hope you start to feel more at ease soon.

I believe that everything happens for a reason. Obviously those non believers aren’t going to understand the things Christians do/see/hear. Movies can’t talk to you, but I think there are ways that God can communicate. Just like the devil tempts us, God can open our eyes and make us see things that we were unaware of. When one door closes and another one opens, that is Gods way of working miracles. Miracles are not coincidences. I don’t care if anyone says this is bullshit, non religious people don’t understand how God works.

Thinking about it I probably did look into the movies too much, I was just in awe at what was happening to me following up from my experience, but like some believers have said that they understand where I’m coming from, I’m glad there is at least a few people to do understand.

I wouldn’t expect people to believe me if I said that I had been communicated or reached out by a higher entity (angel) or god, to guide me, I never used to believe religious people when they told me such “crazy” things just 4 months ago, but once it happens, it’s so clear. You’ve all had god reach out to you, I am not ‘special’ in any kind, I just chose not to ignore certain signs that I quite possibly have ignored for the previous 20 years of my life.

I’m not suggesting you are ‘crazy’ and need ‘sorting out’ – but having disturbing or paranoid thoughts/ hallucinations is not good for you. There are people trained that can sit and talk to you about this sort of thing and put you at ease.

I’m pretty sure I’d know if I was crazy, one way or another, either crazy thoughts, or voices. Just because you can’t comprehend what someone has experienced does not give you the right to be calling them mentally ill.

In fact this is more likely than awareness until you are informed. And yes I am literally partially insane, although in a very different manner from this topic. Plus as I personally experienced that awareness of mental illness and acceptance are different things.

What I don’t get about most religious people is how they are willing to pick out which bits they can believe. E.g – The bible says if your wife cheats on you, you MUST stone her to death. You can’t eat shrimp. Homosexuality is wrong. You can’t cook a goat in its own mothers milk. I mean what the fuck? Just from a lot of what is written in there you can tell it is outdated. It’s amazing how many ‘christians’ will criticise me for denouncing the bible when they don’t even believe or follow all of it. I’d also just like to remind them that they are almost as atheist as me – out of all of the thousands of dieties imagined by people, you only believe in one. Why are all the others wrong and fake but yours is real? What sets it apart?
Your god is also pretty fucking evil – commiting mass genocide because of a few sinners.
