After years of trying to get over someone, it’s finally happening, and my life is picking back up. I’ve turned out a bit of a miserable cunt but I’m jumping for joy on the inside.

saw some guy eating mud with his hands at a party, and devon last year this really dark vibed party there was a guy from eastern europe somewhere with a clown haircut and a huge gash up from his lip to his nose, split wide open, walking around trying to punch people. His mate was furiously shouting at him super loud and they just rolled off down the hill beating the fuck out of each other. I was coming down off some fairly horrible trip at the time too which really didn’t improve things, thought I was gonna cry.

The woodland thing you can largely ignore I reckon, as an arboriculturalist as long as you put up your rig, park your cars etc on a track not actually in the forest, a few people bimbling in and around it really isn’t going to bother the trees even in large numbers. In managed forest there are often things that weigh upwards or 10 tonnes rolling around for weeks at a time and that still doesn’t really disrupt anything other than a bit of short term soil compaction.

I’m on another tree surgery course at the moment, just gone through the typical scary pics in first aid, you know it’s a bad injury when the tutor has to explain what part of the body you’re looking at. couple of new ones, one of which involves a bloke who got span round on a PTO shaft from a tractor until he was a fine pulp spread all over a barn….

Myself, I’ve got three facial ones that are noticable, one from when I was about 5 and I ran head first into a brick wall, really couldn’t explain why, curiosity I suppose. Another above my eye where some kind bloke slammed my head into the corner of an old oven a couple of years ago, and another from being punched where my incisor went through my lip. Sounds bad but considering how much time I spent when I was younger scrapping with blokes much bigger than me I’m actually pretty lucky none of them did any serious damage.

My point about the Olympics wasn’t the crime, it was the cost. Same as Notting Hill to be honest, the cost of policing it isn’t really an issue as far as I’m concerned, at least it’s something that London’s tax payers get the opportunity to enjoy, I doubt they’ll be getting an invite to an RBS Exec’s yacht any time soon, and they contributed more than a bit to that too. I can’t really comment on what went on before I was born, or even whilst I was growing up, but I do think it’s a worthwhile thing to do even with the cost.

I dunno man I think this whole thing’s a bit mountains out of molehills, I mean out of the tens of thousands of people there, there were 229 arrests. The stats for the general public on a bank holiday weekend can’t be much better than that anyway. Think about all the people that went, didn’t get anything nicked, didn’t get intimidated or beaten up, didn’t get arrested, danced to some really good music, ate some tasty food and went home again. I never thought I’d see a party on the circle line but that’s about the only way I can describe it last night.

                                  Ahahah no you’re not!

I agree that the police being there made a difference, although to be honest, their presence at other big events I’ve attended in London has made little difference, or even encouraged violence before, and I think it’s both to their credit and the people at the carnival’s credit that it didn’t go that way.

Depends what you call dodgy really, there wasn’t anything really stupid going on, and if you’re walking round a lot of London then there are people you should obviously avoid. And nobody in their right mind can possibly complain about the amount the carnival costs two weeks after the Olympics. I was walking around for about an hour and a half with my phone out trying to track down a mate of mine and fuck all happened to me, pretty much everyone I saw there was smiling and fine. Also lauteque, how exactly were you identifying “gang members”?

giving it a go is totally fair enough, but going to a party full of solitary K zombies who can’t function properly let alone look after a kid or whatever is no fun.
