Actually I once had a very good trance experience at a sub zero rave.

Inside it was baking, outside it was freezing. But a sort of all in chill out zone for taking the temperatures down after a couple hours on the dance floor.

Gabba I’ve heard of, chiptune/breakcore sounds like something you’d pave a road with.

That was a joke, welcome to the Vibe, don’t mind me, I’m just an uncool unhip old fart. It’s allowed.

Ukelele’s will become the social revolutionary’s instrument of choice. Or something.

Less disposable income = smaller musical instruments.

There is a local ukelele orchestra but you have to be a bit of a musical zero to get excited… it’s an in to learning strings, I guess.

              Welcome to Partyvibe.

‘s quite a good track, but you really don’t have a clue how to use a mixing desk. For one thing bias point should be central, it’s so quiet I have to max speakers to even hear it.

This approach doesn’t just mute music, long term it fucks audio systems too. Your telling the speakers to deform more in one direction (on the average) than the other… not good.

That’s because we like to swear at it for 10 seconds before saying “Hello? Not a problem mate, I’ve been watching the phone all night just in case it rang” or some similar polite lie.

Germans aren’t indirect like that, they’ll just be “Was?”. Maybe a bit more venomous if you’ve caught them shagging.

OK, OK, some English people will actually keep shagging if they’re interrupted on the phone. If they’re really dumb they’ll pretend they’re not shagging.

I must admit, making cold outbound insurance calls wasn’t always as dull as it sounds.

Few places not on poll – Finland, Sweden, Norway (waggle hands vaguely), Iceland, Greenland (OK, Inuit generally don’t do raves), Turkey and the other parts of the Middle East, all of China and Mongolia. And Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, Burma, Nepal, Bhutan, Singapore, Indonesia.

Some would argue Tibet too. Oh, Antarctica and the South Atlantic. Also orbital astronauts.

I’d draw the line at people arguing they’ve currently been abducted by aliens and are in intersteller space. Not that’s impossible (although highly unlikely), it’s just they wouldn’t have WiFi access at that distance.

At the time (mid 90s) there were a number of initiatives into non-lethal weapons. One that saw the light of day was the carbon filament round, designed to overload power cable transmission and used in the bombing of Serbia.

Mind you, I don’t think the gay bomb was ever going to limit casualties. Sexual orientation is not a guide to lethality.

No, the Feds would never let me in. At least, not without a false set of ID (and that’s dodgy in itself). 🙂

Depends partly on your skill set… like… do you know how to make up cables? Any good with a soldering iron?

Also, budget? That’s pretty important. You can skank around for second hand or the odd flea market bargain… but… the thing with buying new kit is, you get a shop guarantee (something that can be tricky to use with stuff bought on eBay).

Here’s a couple of basic points you shoul be aware of if you are not already aware of them… PA is “Public Address system”, which is a very old way of saying sound system…

Your starting point is… you can either get an amplifier/PA and try to match speakers to it, or a set of speakers and try to get a matching amplifier/PA.

They’re both rated in Watts (power) and Ohms (for speakers). Too powerful a set of speakers could blow the amp/PA, and vice versa.

Also be aware that different speaker physical sizes produce different sounds better – so the bigger sized loud speakers are much better at bass, while the teeny tiny tweeters do the high squeaky “top end” better.

I got about 15 FPS over a Wifi network on a really crappy Advent using VESA drivers… probably works really well on a proper system.

For some reason I got a slightly improved frame rate when it was full screen.

Next thing it will be Cockney’s demanding their language be taught in schools.

                                      And Geordies. Then the Scouse.

It will reach the stage where you have to obtain a language degree within a 12 metre radius of where you were born, otherwise “yur a furriner” and you have to get requalified.

Which will be an absolute bitch if you were born on a UK registered ship or airplane.
