June 11, 2006 at 11:51 pm #1078628I wish I was sat around with limited clothing. At that time I was lifting an insanely heavy soundsystem down 2 flights of stairs in to a van and then unloading it at the lock up in the blazing sun.
I drunk 3 cans during and then about 3 pints when I got back home and I still felt dehydrated.

To be fair if it was beer you were drinking then no wonder you felt thirsty still, Sounded like you had a heavy day then, i had just got back from camping in gloucester with the family:bigsmile:. Which was good, but i met some local teenagers there that had never even heard of a free rave:surprised

Yeah, the day after is always the worst. Especially as we had a bit of an after party when the event we were supplying the sound for finished.
Had to trek home at 7 in the morning and then get up again at 1pm to lift cabs and amps in the blazing heat all over again.

I know tons of young people who have never heard of them.

June 12, 2006 at 12:51 pm #1078630That would probably be the best way to do it but most of the clubs we supply systems for refuse to keep the place open another 2 hours for us to pack up and haul out.
Fair enough really.

we had it down to half an hour tops; the record was 12 mins [we worked like slaves for those few minutes] and that included packing it in the vehicle
we developed a specific order in which to do it and always did it in that order [and we had several practise runs to work out the fastest way too:crazy_fre]
June 12, 2006 at 7:25 pm #1078631There is not a chance in hell we could get de-rigged and down stairs in half an hour. Not unless we had 10 people.
June 12, 2006 at 7:33 pm #1078633The sun is beautiful, but im finding it VERY hot and kinda hard to cope with, being pregnant doesnt help i dont think, lots of water drinking and lots of trips to the loo (is that too much info……) Id hate to say it but ill be glad when it cools down a bit (typical brit, moan when its cold, moan when its hot!)
Hope u all enjoy it tho! Maybe u can enjoy it for me!
