I’m the other way around, born and raised a veggie until the age of 16, then one night we were stuck out in the woods with just 2 disposable barbeques and a bag of meat the size of my torso from farm foods. Since then I’ve worked on chicken farms and a deep sea trawler, and I honestly think if you can kill it, you can eat it. Whether you would want to or not because of said chems etc. is a completely different point, but it’s easily dealt with for me as I still get fresh fish from the boat and I get meat (which I still eat pretty/very rarely) from a couple of local farms who have fairly conscious farmers. Then I go and ruin it all by getting a kebab on thursday night haha.
One thing I really hate though it meat eaters who can’t deal with having fish with the head on, or anything that looks like it was alive. If you can’t face up to that fact that you are eating something which was once alive, you do not deserve to eat it.
