Daftfader, i didnt know his age until G.L said it tonight, he sounded mid 20s. But when i read moonies post my chest sunk and i thought, this not good, and as it escalated i thought shit. But thankfully it seems to have passed without incident and hopefully they have or can meet in a club or wherever without further ado

I vaguely remember his forum age may not have been his real one, something which came to light fairly soon after he was asking for advice about lifestyle choices and he thenadmitted to roughly what his exact age was (or any advice we gave him wouldn’t be of much use).

there is no official lower or upper age limit for Partyvibe but the current range of recent users has been from about 14-60+, which matches social developments over the years and how peoples musical tastes develop.

I personally would feel a bit uneasy about anyone below 14 signing up here due to the controversial subjects discussed though we have had a fair number of users in their teens over the years.

It does mean especially with more focused monitoring and policing of social networks and forums popular with young folk the mods and admin are responsible for those below 18 are kept safe to the standards of CEOP and other similar agencies in the EU and worldwide, but users certainly do not and will not get “treated like kids” because they are below 18 so they need not worry about entering their real age.

if anyone is shy about their age, old or young, they have an option to stop it being displayed to anyone other than mods and admin, its in profile options but once they set up a profile its locked. I admit I did once want to change mine as when moving here to 1984-03-20 as a joke (I’d already done this on another EA rave forum because you had to be over 21) but found it locked out and subsequently learned that doing so certainly wouldn’t have been treated as a joke by the cops across every region of the East and could have put the site in jeopardy, and have got me in a lot of shit and suspected of other very unpleasant crimes simply because of other incidents what often happened in this region (with increased knowledge and help from the brainy lot at British Telecom, the cops have since put a stop to much of it, so I really can’t criticise them for what might seem like being “overly paranoid”)
