im pretty much the same as cliffy, used to cain it hard every weekend and probably at least a few days during the week, which probably meant i was sober for about 0-1 day in a week. :you_crazy: now i try to have at least one weekend off in a month and i only really drink 1 or 2 days during the week & no drugs. Also when i go out i dont try to take as many drugs as possible, just enough so i can stay awake and dance. :love:

One spliff a day after work, don’t like gettin’ completely bombed but it takes the edge off slightly..
Beers maybe twice in the week…
Weekends, one a month off……….otherwise find some beats on Friday ad go till i come round Sunday……

I did have 3 months of being completely T-total a couple of years ago after nearly killing myself but think i’ve hit a happy medium where i reck it enough and have a good laugh but no issues with work ect….

Roll on Glade though…….10 days off & 10 days of Madness!!!!!

how easy did u find being T-total? Im just finding life so dull and depressing that it makes me want to jump off a bridge. Though I get this a lot anyway, its defenatly worse!

In fairness mate i didn’t want to be any other way, after spending two weeks in hospital after caining it so much I did’t think i ever wanted to go near booze, persians….anything ever again!!

As i recovered and it took a while I got the urge to have a couple off beers here and there…and the messyness crept back in……I do have to watch it slightly & have to take these things too keep the acid in my stomache down etc, but Doc said carry on as normal…

I know its not much help but I think I would have struggled to go T-toal without this major kick in my ass!!!
Don’t be jumping off any bridges, you know you got a load off people behind you on here who offer there support… if there is anything I could do to help, drop us a PM & i’ll see what I can do…:love::group_hug

if you dont mind me asking how come you ended up in hospital? I had liver failure and nearly died and it didnt change my view of the world at all sadly 🙁 television lies!

Gave myself 3 stomsche ulcers…one on the valve going in, so i couldn’t eat anything…..one in my stomach & one on the valve on the way out (nice)….when i first whent in the Doc couldnt get the Endoscopic camera down there it was that inflamed…

It was just the feeling of how sick i felt that stopped me………….

Kidney faliure though……….makes the ulcers look like childs play……..I guarantee you they were not!!

eep that sounds bloody nasty! I had no idea that could happen from just kaining it too much, though I dont know a lot about stomoch ulcers it has to be said..

it took me losing the plot a bit to stop doing ket and coke. still everything happens for a reason and im glad it happened cause ive not touched either since new year. :love:

i still find other ways to have fun tho! 😉
