For anyone who’s interested I’ve just used the following guide to optimize my Windows 2000 system and I’m seeing a real difference. Setting my page file to 4 Gig (2* RAM), defragmenting, installing Cacheman v5.50 and TCP/IP Optimizer were particularly significant (although caution is advisable of course)…
