New notifications

Don’t seem to be working too well. I’ve got this weird black bar at the bottom of my screen, and when I get a like it just takes me to my own control panel rather than the likes page. Also I don’t know if this is the reason, but it’s the only thing I can think of that’s changed, my PC is running slow as shit with PV open.

Still all minor stuff for this awesome website though, cheers Dr. B!

have you cleared your cache recently?

I could also recommend CCleaner if you havent got it installed – can really help with registry issues in windows and clearing out unnecessary data

I get sent to my user CP cometimes when clicking the “you have new likes” thing that pops down from “notifications” at the top of the page, but it’s never bothered me really.

Im the same as moonie and daftfader, got notifacations today and i think there was a link attached as i cant open my profile now, this is the same with the ‘best dance tune tread and album tread and others that have links attached, when you open the page it goes to around 1.5MB’s and just cuts out and you have to go to google and start again, shame. This is a sony ericsson u5i mobile. Also im on wifi now hoping it was just to much usage and o2 was slowing me down but it did the same on the best album tread, i cleared my history

I have never been send directly to the likes given, first to user cp there you have the link to the likes given

i just get sent to the CP ‘settings’ too, but i can’t even see a link there to likes.did find it once, in another part of the user profile, but not accessible from the “new likes” notification dropdown.

What browser do you use?

I disabled the new system because it was slowing things down, also not working well with mobile browsers.

Mostly Konqueror (uses khtml, from which Apple’s Webkit was forked). khtml3, on the desktop here, is a bit old but on the laptop I have khtml4 which should be pretty up to date. Unless it’s a javascripty problem of course – I can’t remember if I tried it on Firefox.

just checked, the new likes drop-down does currently work on firefox. must be a browser js problem with konqueror then.
