I like both but have answered outdoor,coz outside you have room and with that a feeling of ample personal space,a heaving indoor party can feel slightly claustrophobic sometimes,only slightly mind:wink:

It was a hard choice because I like both but I put indoor events (perhaps more because I used to help set these up)

I agree with freespirited about the freedom bit outdoors but I do feel a bit guilty as well as often you saw farmers fields getting trashed and people breaking into barns etc, also people deliberately driving on crop fields – i mean proper doughnutting them and doing 180s, not because they couldn’t park elsewhere..

its different in a shitty old building no one wants which is gonna be knocked down anyway. (I didn’t like the practice of taking between lets buildings but no crew does that any more since they all got busted hard a couple years ago)

you only get serious trouble at indoor events in inner citys where there are gangs (warehouse parties outside London can be good fun) – and there has been a fair bit of trouble at outdoor events in recent years (its just that when you start raving or are spangled you often don’t notice this)

also people tend to interact and cross paths more rather than stay in cars or spread out between rigs at outdoor parties…

and there’s often more random places to explore and tat to claim….

I would say outdoor for the freedom and the fact it doesn’t get to hot..

But two of the best nights out ive had were both indoors. Also I prefere the sound of soundsystems indoors..

ah, but you can get on the roof or into all the random plant rooms :groucho:

and although a small warehouse can get claustrophobic a proper big one looks quite mad when the light is shining through the skylights in the morning…

mind you I was an urban explorer long before I was a raver….

I do like the outdoor sunrise but I find a lot of people have retreated into their cars or vans by then and have “barricaded” themselves inside (as mentioned in other thread)…

Also I find it a bit harsh looking upon the countryside covered with rubbish, balloons and other crap – doesn’t seem quite as bad in a grimy warehouse (although this stuff is usually cleaned up in both places)

rigs do sound better indoors but thats also because they often have proper power feeds from the mains rather than insufficient power from gensets..

I do like exploring and chilling out with smaller groups outdoors though….

i find warehouses quite interesting and quite like the industrial look, tho it doesnt even compare to being able to sit on a hill and look at the scenery when your feeling skatty so i chose outdoor.

I like both. I said outdoor parties cause I like the freeness and fresh air and we have to find it, the hunt is fun… and and and it’s so free BUT I love indoor parties cause I thinks the lighting and visuals are better… plus I like it in the morning when were all dancing and it’s like we’re all mushrooms about to explode… hehe thats a great feeling….

i can imagine a dingy warehouse isnt the best place when trippin ur nut off!

outdoor, natch. No contest. and when the smokin ban comes in, even more so. It should sound better outdoors, if the rig is well set up an all…

I remember a multi rig in thetfud forrest couple o years ago, it was in a large clearing with really tall trees on either side, and when the sun finaly broke over the top and you could see the line where shadow met sunlight move back over the whole of the party, everyone just strted cheering as if we had achieved something. was quite moving tbf

It’s got to be outdoor. Even at the best indoor parties I always eventually find myself outdoors!

the whole main reason i love raves is that they are generally outdoors! i love being off my head with nature around me, fresh air to breathe, and to be able to watch the sunrise. id rather be outdoors when its freezing cold than indoors partying anyday! cant beat the fresh air and space:bounce_fl
