Hehehe: Anyone tried kite-surfing?

i just had my first go on a kite! :weee:

OMG! its ace fun :bounce_fl only on the beach, not in the sea yet!

sun’s blazing but very little wind today, the lads have bought a 12 meter kite (good for them coz they’re bout 12 stone but a little hairy for me!)

got strapped in but was gonna take off so one of em had to hang on to my harness, racing round the empty beach screaming, really fun, u lean back into it feet out digging furrows in all the soft sand, so much fun! don’t wanna come home 😥

anyone else had a go?

I’d be too scared :hopeless:

I’m abit of a woos when it comes to things like that or skiing etc

maybe as I am very clumsy 😉

must admit that was my first feeling, oh shit :hopeless:
but have been watching for days and today, with hardly any wind was just too good to miss

i do need a littler kite tho (or else need to learn Morrocan real fast – s’only 7 miles across the Straits from here!)

I love power kites. Between a group of my mates we used to have an 8′ and a 6′ which we stacked and used to go mental along the beach on a mountainboard jumping off dunes and stuff with them.

Its something I want to get back into but I have neither the time nor the money at the moment.

i’ve got a little 3 metre kite. it drags me around a field and lifts me off the ground though and i weigh about 14 stone raaa

one of my mates does it and gets sponsorship for going in comps and stuff,
he does boarding, buggying and surfing
