Being a complete technophobe I can’t comment on the set up but I like the ever handy ‘Pessel and morter’ raaa

Cough….yeh I borrowed my mates camera to take the photos as I’ve nae money left for my own one now 😥 and I only just realised I’d forgotten to “clean up” after myself after he’d left.October 23, 2006 at 10:59 am #1092741AcidfairyParticipant

Nice desk my dear…..we use one of them on the rig. Very handy.
But come on we want to see it all 😉
Gona stock myself up with a nice dave smith evolver and a couple new midi controllers after I’ve been to the dam. Possibly a machinedrum with my next loan instalment….meaning I’ll need to get myself a bigger desk….and a bigger room.October 23, 2006 at 4:43 pm #1092758

is what we are currently tormenting though [ a reasonably cheap memory card 4mb [smart media S4M-5] for our 505 would be nice if you know where we can get one ]
[and we have a second desk for the rig ]October 23, 2006 at 5:09 pm #1092750
these people do them. Although I have seen 2mb ones on ebay for £10 specifically citing the mc-505 in the auction name, so they might be worth checking out.October 24, 2006 at 11:30 am #1092746SdZParticipant

Raj re the smart media bit.. i had probs gettin them for the RS as they don’t really make the smart media cards much now.. old technology and that but Maplins do a smart media adaptor that takes XD cards which means u get more memory.. the adaptor is a tenner and the XD cards aren’t too bad eitherOctober 24, 2006 at 11:39 am #1092759
know anyone who has used one with any success?
we think the 505 may be a cranky schmuck wrt to that and losing a years work once was enough :hopeless: in fact I have barely touched it since :hopeless:October 24, 2006 at 11:39 am #1092773Shit RobotParticipant

I’ve had a nuo 2 since they came out. If all you want it a simple two channel mixer then its the muts nuts.
All I wanted was something durable for parties that sounds nice….and mines been dropped on concrete, filled with dust, filled with booze and dropped down stairs and it still works perfectly.October 24, 2006 at 7:01 pm #1092760

Big up Ecler! The unsung heros of the dj mixer world.October 24, 2006 at 7:04 pm #1092761
we have an old dinasour called a bandridge – that one is as tough as old boots too [have never seen another or found anyone who had one]
still going 12 years on raaaraaaraaaraaa but we use a djm600 these days [unless the dj has annoyed me ]October 24, 2006 at 7:09 pm #1092753Raj wrote:still going 12 years on raaaraaaraaaraaa but we use a djm600 these days [unless the dj has annoyed me ]
You can punish someone more than making them use a DJM  I don’t want to get on the wrong side of you :biggreen:October 24, 2006 at 7:13 pm #1092762
we have custom rewired the bandridge to bypass the eqs so that incorrigible knob [twiddlers] think they are using them but the signal comes into the rig flat :groucho::groucho::groucho::groucho:
so they sound as shite as they really are :weee:October 24, 2006 at 7:19 pm #1092735Raj wrote:we have custom rewired the bandridge to bypass the eqs so that incorrigible knob [twiddlers] think they are using them but the signal comes into the rig flat :groucho::groucho::groucho::groucho:

Good for protecting the rig but very bad with regards to using the mixer as a dj tool for making mixes prorgess.October 24, 2006 at 7:21 pm #1092754BioTech wrote:Good for protecting the rig but very bad with regards to using the mixer as a dj tool for making mixes prorgess.
Aye thats the point instead of them sounding shit and destroying the rig they just sound gash.
