you can’t spend money that isnt in your account it is updated every 10 seconds or something i have paid for something on my card and checked my balance and straight away it was off even on a sunday same thing it is impossible to spend money you aint got.

ok i do apoligize, if you spend money on your card it comes out of your account automatically no delay so therefor you cannot over spend your money is that better?

but u can? i spend money on my card and it takes 3-4 days before the account is updated

what thinkbank is doing is running a parallel real time database and then passing the transactions to the banks old software (I think its the Bank of Scotlands systems it goes through), with two separate ledger databases and a budget limit.

Many companies do this in their accounts department anyway but this bank is offering the service to private individuals.

well i have never had that problem with my bank account thats what i was saying with the account i have if you spend money on your card it comes off immediatlty.

sounds like a good idea imo. perhaps when i get myself sorted out, even if i go back to college, im thinking of switching.

my boyfriend was with halifax one month he got 200 in bank charges

but even though you’re paying what? 12.50 a month, i guess that isn’t a bad going rate for people to keep a close eye on ya bank.

i hate banks so much mine is nationwide …they charged me £30 for going over drawn by £10 not the first time :crazy_dru ….closing my account gonna move over ….

yeah i’m with nationwide as well … there fucking awfull ..:cry: … i wen’t with them cos i hate banks .. and they used to be ok .. but there just as bad now as soon as i pay my overdraught off im gonna switch to hsbc or one of there affilate banks … there suposed to be good

For the record hardcore is the nips however your neighbours ain’t being fair really. I suggest you do get a cd player and play some music that’ll really annoy them. Sometimes giving someone a taste of their own medicine works wonders. Or triggers a war, good luck. :weee:
