There are several search bots reading/monitoring PV at all time…so what you write in forum is widely spread on the servers on most used search engines(+ brand searches)
This should be dealt with like what you write here is for all to see, all other things are for PM’s or in serious cases skype voice or voip talk, but best to be totally sure is face to face in real life….then again we have and allow forum-user names that in most cases is enough to secure your privacy, that said, people should avoid plaster their faces(pictures and/or videos) here in public albums or forums if their intention is to be incognito for most of the world.The main thing is to avoid to put yourself or others in a criminal state that can backfire later on….
This two answers should cover the whole paranoia thingi and give you tools to deal with them internet-wise and a way to understand it, your drug intake should also be taken in consideration before you go banzai and starting to act on this creepy feeling, we have all been there one time or another

sinnerApril 15, 2012 at 7:02 am #1252456google certainly does store some details of what sites you visit regularly. Also it works in strange ways. A lot of us like cats here so any cat threads, picture of cats or anything feline gets indexed higher. the google bot thinks we are druggies but like animals/nature. a while back I put up this youtube of a random cat eating a rat outside macdonalds in my Dads home town (in Malaysia) and that got a top google rating within seconds, on 3 computers in 3 different locations, However one of the PCs was at work where many staff are from Malaysia and Phillipines and they also alter the search results.
In a medium size office where I work and where users are less wary of privacy, and has static IP address (to make some servers work better), Google immediately “knows” that we are in East Anglia and not London or Manchester or Scotland or anywhere else and adjusts the search results accordingly (which isn’t always a bad thing).
My own username (when spelt correctly) is a very common electricians term in the UK and Commonwealth (it means the lights you use in the house when it is dark), but my tendency to write things in Dutch and various other European languages and behaviour which is perhaps slightly more “European” than even your average British Asian chap born in England means it sticks out and still can be filtered on searches straight back to this site.
Its not in my case feds or anyone wants to follow me, they know who I am and what I got up to in the 90s and 2000s and what this site is all about. I do turn off ads and remove cookies and other tracking things every so often (although a lot of things about myself I no longer hide as I am older, and no longer heavily involved in illegal events or illegal drug taking, it is now in the past. Other stuff like on my blog I actively want to share as widely as possible and TBH don’t care if feds read it, I’d rather they did and could see that I am encouraging positive stuff like young people learning about technology in a multicultural world whatever I might have done in previous years, when I do contribute to drugs threads nowadays its with a view to harm reduction if anything, not encouraging excessive/irresponsible use.
but I find it more amusing than anything if I occasionally turn them on and then see stuff like ads for pets I do not actually have – there are times I deliberately go searching for random animals simply to see if I can confuse the petfood companies bots…

Its possibly in a different thread – there are two similar ones of this nature. we did not move it there, its possible but to unpick single posts and then put them in single threads but involves extra effort. Also a time lag on the new software prevents you seeing your most recent posts and that can cause confusion. not sure if this is new anti spam “feature” of upgraded software as I’ve seen it on other blogs / forums, thought the same thing had happened to a post of mine but it turned up in a random order in the comments.
some forums (particularly those in other Northern European nations and their languages) are really fussy about topics / threads but the the only time we split up a thread like that is usually if someone is discussing in detail the effects of drugs and the thread drifts to cover two substances – each gets a separate thread so people don’t overdose or get confused.
