heard there was a warehouse party in Suffolk the weekend just gone….
would have tried to get there but was proper ill last weekend:sick:, shame as from chatting to people I heard it was quite good
anyone from here go?

Shame about some gimp smashing up a van on the estate that belonged to a business. Shame about the rig getting seized too.

Yet I’ve seen the cops from areas that are on “zero tolerance” let whole vans of kit leave from a rave – in cases when the crews have been sensible enough to agree a reasonable finish time (like early Sunday afternoon) and to stop people damaging other buildings (or to attract a crowd where people don’t do this sort of shit)
plus mindless damage like that gets whole industrial estates proper locked down when some buildings can be used more than once….
the eastside lot should learn from the mistakes made in the Thames Valley area; not make the same stupid mistakes again…

Took a while to get goin and there was a few fights which spoilt it a bit.
Great atmosphere overall tho. Shit about gettin the rig taken, we left about lunch time (long drive back!!) so wasn’t sure what had happened to the crew.:yakk:

even so its harsh on the crews… and not a sustainable strategy
cops aren’t stupid these days
They know if they confiscate stuff that people are going to claim it (they can’t keep it for ever without going to Court) when this happens they have names and addresses of people they can hold to account for organising illegal parties and any damage caused to property or buildings
Plus if crews can afford to lose a few hundred quids worth of equipment and then come back within a few weeks when they are mostly run by 20-something lads who aren’t traditional “high earners”, the cops will start wondering “where does all the money to replace the kit come from”… this sort of thing can have wider repercussions…

(sorry 2 any1 who saw me puking in the middle of the warehouse….came up hard on tcb)

January 25, 2007 at 2:52 pm #1098396how come i find out about every party from london to lands end and up in lnorfolk, but i never find anything close to home (cambs herts essex suffolk ways) till they’ve been and gone,
the ‘mega’ rave was 20mins from my house, but i didn’t know about it till i got to work on saturday an it was gettin closed dwn by the time i finished, i had know about the multi rig in wales for ages tho
ah well, DU shud be back in summer back can cycle dwn to the meadows again, and life 4 land are playing at the cambridge arms in colchester in feb 23rd, shud be gd
