ParticipantWell I’m dusting off my zimmer frame as I’ll be out partying two weekends in a row!
The age of of a person is unimportant, it is attitude that counts. I’ve known lots of idiots that have been both old and young. The only advantage for younger people is they have longer to change their attitudes. Some older people go to their grave being miserable and looking for someone to knock!April 4, 2008 at 10:35 am #1159629welly
ParticipantIt is a bit of a nightmare but worth it. Take photo’s visit the doctor and play it up as much as possible, cctv tapes from police cells. The sooner you do all this the better.
It takes time but believe me it is worth it.
People should do this for themselves, coppers need to know they are not above the law and it can be a fairly heafty pay out several grand. The coppers can be sacked aswell.
It also might save some else a beating and possibly death! I know someone who after being nicked for DD ended up dead in a polce cell.
I had both my arms brocken by some over the top coppers. My hands were cuffed behind my back and they claimed i was resisting arrest. It was just an excuse to give me a kicking, but three years later i was smiling as i walked out of court with a fat cheque and some very pissed off north yorkshire police.
Saying all that expect lots of hassel if you do sue them as the police will stick together!
Good luckApril 4, 2008 at 10:35 am #1217501welly

ParticipantHi all, strange thread but good to see everyone doing okay, might be spring waking us up. I’ve been up to my knees in mud and enjoying wet wales. Looking forward to summer and hopefully lots of fun. We are looking for a nice truck so we can go back to travelling and use wales as a base so should be exciting!

ParticipantEveryone tends to look back at past parties with slightly rose coloured glasses. The first free festi i went to was brilliant but i was 16 and i had no expectations. Now i’d view it as a shambles running out of diesel at 11ish and then a bunch of fucked hippies trying to sort it out so no music for about 6 hours.
The sound quality and organisation of parties is so much tighter these days. In the early 90’s things were alot less harsh in terms of police but then things were smaller, it is a myth about huge parties most very only 200 people. The few that get mentioned were because they were huge and not the run of normal things, Castle morten and some tek’s on beaches.
The big difference is police being muched more clued up and they are especialy sussed if you try anything that is linked to political/ green issues. But hopefully all this will lead to people going out just as much and them looking back and again moaning how things aren’t as good, drugs aren’t as strong etc.
But on a seperate note the magic of seeing the sun come up while standing in a field with a bunch of mates listening to a big tune for the first can’t be beaten and is beautifuly addictive.December 11, 2007 at 2:37 pm #1147561welly

ParticipantI’ve just read national heritages rules for attending stone henge, and it seems that they are not letting in any “high sided vehicle or caravans” and there will only be parking at the official car park. Over the last few years they seemed to have chilled out a little bit. We have parked in the field that they openned and slept in the caravan so i was okay to drive off in the afternoon.
I’ve emailed them to ask about the changes, I’ll let you know any answer!!
Anyone else heard or read anythingJune 12, 2007 at 10:49 am #1133282welly

ParticipantTook my wellies off and left the hills for aber, D n’ B night called Kontrol. Strangely good as very old school, although a bit of a shame they blew the speakers so night ended early.
Smoking ban is excellent as I was outside with everyone and to accomodate more people being outside they had music outside.
Nice change from lambing! -
