You should weigh out the big parties with the small parties. People usually gets attached to their first experience. Those huge event prices seem to keep going up. It’s more sensible to start with a 1 night event (which is actually the preferred events). You don’t want to get attached to expensive events.

We don’t encourage you to take stuff, its up to you. At least in small events, the people you meet won’t disappear for the rest of your life. You can actually bump into them several times a night (or avoid them). Once you get the hang of it you can join the ‘trend’ and go to the larger events! Keep in mind if you want to meet everyone at a party you can only do that at small events. So its up to you guys really.

ALSO…..please share your experience when you go! I want to know if I make sense (lol).

Holy CRAP……Is that Hardwell in the LINEUP? Number 1 Dj across the world for 2015? This party’s it.

I’ve been noticing alot of lesser known Dj ratings systems rating different dj’s. THOSE ARE OK……but if you’re labeled TOP DJ OF 2015, you know those guys are a must see, ATLEAST ONCE for 2015 (“That Means they reached the HEIGHT OF THEIR SETS”).

For any aspiring DJ, this is the award you have to strive for, because that means that you have 12 months of non interrupted excellence in your sets. Alot of the lesser dj’s that are ranked #1 at lesser titles usually only have that title temporarily (1 week after the title announcement? 1 month? Next SICK party?). So basically, lesser titles are still a struggle for any DJ not titled THE BEST for a year.

I would basically sell most of my furniture just to have money hear this guy dj (“Any party this guys is spinning is basically sold out already for this year, or AT LEAST at capacity, meaning you have to get to the party early.”). This party ESPECIALLY, because it’s considered the last time-frame (New Years Eve Set for the TOP DJ OF 2015?! How did this party pull that off?!). After this event is another resetting of a different clock……TOP DJ FOR NEXT YEAR…….What do you guys think? 2nd Year for Hardwell as TOP DJ? What kind of set would a top dj do to make sure he gets the same title for next year?

The site should start a PARTYVIBE.COM RAVE ROOM! YeeeAAAHH!!!! First time I went in this site, it was a rave and I was the only one with the DJ (spinning). (I actually LOVE WHEN THAT HAPPENS…….I think it was an early Insomniac party [or was it Channel 36?] a few years back. 30k capacity crowd and a huge venue……for some weird reason only 100 of us got in. I think one of the investors brought out a motor scooter and was running around like crazy like the rest of us. FUN STUFF!…….It was so intimate at a HUGE event….they played HOUSE OF PAIN “JUMP AROUND” Cause there was SOO MUCH ROOM!)

30K Vs. 100 = I will never forget you man!!!!!!!!

Hey Rob, tell us how the party went, yeah? I remember my friend who dj’s House Clubs in Los Angeles invited me to go out there with him. It was for the Winter Music Conference……it was around 2001 though, I declined. Musicians frequent that area leisurely so anything music related gets an intimate reaction. Winter Music Conference is usually the only big and important event that happens in that area. You should do research on WMC, maybe they have some dope clubs and events still happening in that area. Might as well have fun all the way in Florida ( you might bump into your favorite dj’s/musicians, just hanging out….thats why….*hint hint…hahahah).

                    1. Stay Hydrated. ( Bring bottled water because you get ripped off if you don’t).
                    2. Have money for a hotel/motel/holiday inn. (No comment on brining several girls for an afterparty once). Happend in EDC also, so if you’re not into guys then good luck (or if you are…whatever….I’m just basing what I know).
                    3. Try to FREQUENCY NETWORK with walkie talkies! In OVERTLY HUGE EVENTS you will get lost. Meetups on drugs is a SERIOUS HASSLE. Just ask people in line…..”who has a walkie talkie….what frequency….etc. etc”. You get to meet more people that way. Stay away from the ones that don’t share frequencies (really bad people…TRUST ME…..usually its because they cant handle their drugs…..even WEED…its funny).
                    4. If youre into pills have a testing kit, see what type of crap is in there. Never mix pills with alcohol……ITS A POISON MIXTURE!
                    5. Security guards are really fucking cool man, try to be freindly to them.
                    6. Sometimes you get the occasional naked girl thats all into herself at a party, most likely away from her friends or something and just literally stuffed with drugs in her system. Be a pal and lookout for her. Be the body guard if anything, you know…sometimes people take advantage and thats not cool. I usually just leave and tell whoever she hooks up with to look after her and that she agrees to the whole situation….even with a nod of the head or something (It’s those dam famous DJ’S outside of the promoters personal choice I TELL YOU! Druggies that party around the world don’t fuck around when promoters get the correct dj’s).
                    7. Bring something with nutrients, if you dance like crazy…..like a healthbar with vitamins or something. Check a local pharmacy, see what they have. Because if you don’t….. hours and hours of dancing or drugs will start draining your stored energy in your body, and if that starts running out, it justs eats away at your muscles and yourself. Learn from drugs and take care of your body!
                    8. Have FRIGGIN FUN MAN! I don’t enjoy huge crowds (regardless). An a schedule helps. Also ask around what people are into, with whatever’s in their system. If people can’t stop talking about it….its usually OFF THE WALL FUN!

ALSO….I need to bring this up again…..DJ’S! Pay attention because some of the headliners were actually started by that party event organizers! That means that the Dj that’s headlining was actually molded by that company: 1. to save money. 2. to have more of a control on what people get into. …………..If you think about it, you’re basically getting ripped off because some of them would rather pay less for the dj. “more money in their pocket”. I personally do my research with the dj’s…….I wouldn’t pay $150.00 for a DJ that used to be a ROADIE STAGE HELPER who’s still BALLS OUT DEDICATED. I paid top dollar for a goddam party…..i better get GODDAM TOP DJ’S that people are going NUTS FOR all over the world. Supporting an unknown (who’s only dedicated to selfish people) is a RIPOFF……all your doing is supporting a promotion for GLOBAL BOOKING CANDIDATE (backed secretly by another promoter, for strategical promotions?!)……that is just F**KIN’ GROSS MAN!

People have different experiences with the whole thing. I’m just sharing mine. Keep in mind that you have a “choice” in whatever is happening and you’ll be ok.

I miss the Breaks crowd before the large crowd invasion. Just my luck, find my crowd at a party and the next one its packed with strangers.

You know, this is the only BIG REGULAR EVENT happening in Los Angeles that I’ve been hearing about, so its better than nothing.

I remember you guys when I FIRST started party hopping! I was in the area and I think I went 1 last party and it was a USC event! I don’t remember because I think I had waaaay too many drugs and I had a plane ride to leave the area. I just had to worry about returning my cute rent-a-car before leaving so I was allowed to go over my drug limit. I always think of your area (and Canada), I’ll be back eventually.

You guys SERIOUSLY need to take over big parties.

Dude what party was that? I barely remember, I think I would have been more friendly if I wasn’t going back the next day. ANOTHER reason I should stop going to invite only parties, MAKING NEW FRIENDS! Another thing that was weird was the MAIN-ROOM (the one where I would have been more friendly with new friends) all of a sudden was taken over as a DRUM-AND-BASS room (I don’t think I have that magazine anymore). Of course this happened several months after I left, but I remember that venue stayed the same and drum-and-bass doesn’t usually take over main rooms. Oh, well. I still disagree that happened but what happens happens. (WOW i’m still in shock you guys are around, glad to see that nothing changes).

ANYWAY, when I do some more party hopping I’ll focus more in the area again. I’ll leave the last minute parties with a NEW CROWD as one of the first events to go to in a party area; I’m not that “busy” anymore anyway.

I wish USC the best, & good luck & keep it up!! I’ll see you guys soon……

WOW this party looks SICK. I’d be a Colette fan, but theres always a bunch of newcomers drooling around her. THEN theirs people that are scenenners who drool around Heather because her mixes are too GODDAM LEGENDARY. But both are sick though and both are pretty to me.

Can someone review this if you go? Maybe post a picture of the venue also? In the regions I visit, they’re known to pack in the crowd.

That over head map looks crazy fun. Wish I was there! (I thought that was a actual spell out of the location real quick, hahah, either way it looks fun).

Some MAD ADVICE not to shut down an event:

Cops if anything will look for an excuse to shut a party down. If partying in your region is getting larger again this may happen, especially if the road blocks to an event (legal or non legal) happen. If normal procedures fail they will try to look for ‘weakest of the flock’ type deal as a SCAPE GOAT. Victims are usually stalked/arrested after leaving the event FOR ANYTHING. Broken headlights, etc. but eventually will lead to searching the car.

Here’s the important thing. KNOW YOUR RIGHTS. If you know a witty lawyer student or someone who has plenty of Google time on their hands, should do the internet lookup. You can either tell them in person or do it as a flyer thing and place it on their car or give it to them at the party. It should read as a CHECKLIST/SCRIPT on everything that could happen to them (Did you know that if you are a driver stopped by police you should place your 2 hands STATIONARY on the wheel, others should put it on the dash board/ front seat…..this is because cops go NUTS IN THEIR MIND if they can’t see your hands, its a safety thing because they can’t tell if someone is carrying a gun!). Scripting is good because if there are any druggies they should know what to do. I’ll leave the details up to you guys, keep in mind they usually look for the people that partied the hardest and they shouldn’t be the weaker prey.

Oh yeah, badge numbers are important and legally they have to tell you it and you gotta memorize it. If it becomes a questioning thing if you get caught, find out what the rules are with getting a lawyer.

Fun and frequent parties should never be stopped because it becomes a TREND with law enforcement. Try to find out ways to ride out the hype of shutting down an event.

Good luck and have fun at the parties.

                                            Pat, that sounds awesome!

I prefer partying with out enhancement, so I know that situation must be nice. Sweat it out on the dance floor and cool-out near the door, greet people arriving. What more can 1 want out of life? 😀

Don’t get me wrong though, I like red-bull and vodka just like the next person. But for your party crowd I recommend Gator-aid or non-coffee mixed energy drinks. It’s actually alot cleaner (sports proven) and doesn’t go OVERDRIVE internally.

(By the way, I hope your crowd didn’t have to go through that ‘e-puddle’ thing. That was so gross.)

IF you’re into the X thing though. In this day and age with these large crowds, Mitsubishis are the way to go. It became legendary in certain parts of the world. That thing alone chaged the ‘definition’ of some parties. There were several versions though, went through a double stacked (even triple?) before it became the weaker versions. Maybe it went back though, it’s no ‘water cup’ , but man….if it made a large crowd make a u turn just to talk about it, it has to be good. For me it covered the entire emotional range, so it makes for a good recommending. 🙂

Secondly……having an opinion about a topic is nice and all. But my logic isn’t based on opinions but being there. For someone thats supposed to be technologically advanced…..whats this “Here and There”? Theres only the internet that was started as a military communication project. You’re speaking as if the Orignial (now dead) Computer Industry was what it was…..”World Wide Web”. Objectifying Europe as being seperate doesn’t make sense. The computer industry for real techies was fundamentally NOT AMERICAN. It has always been something else. Obviously being “world wide” means that it had to be established by SOMEONE. It was just known. People that didn’t know anthing are just secondary and more of a consumer than providing a product.

Secondly, its not a matter of whats “underground” or whatever your logic is. SOCIAL NETWORKING IS NOW SOCIAL MEDIA, which means that Social Media became AN INDUSTRY, based on researching pictures, peoples interests and their network of people. Selling information about users. Facebook has customized advertisements specific to the user who logs in. Your advertisements are different than another household, because its based on your interaction. In its earlier stages, it gave a 3rd prespective “top view” of a user and their network of people. It doen’st matter what your into “underground or not”. You missed the whole point. CIRCLES means that if you are not a part of that circle, you will not benefit from whatever motivates that circle. Opinions are CUTE. But if you don’t get specific with NAMES, TIME, LOCATION & EVENT….. GET OFF MY NUTS.

“If you don’t know, you don’t know.”

So yeah…..Social Media. Its about researching what people are into, Macro and micro level. Usually the ones protecting it are the ones that get defensive. Whats the difference though between Social Media and earlier forms of it?

“If you don’t know you don’t know.”

By the way isn’t Media mentioned in the bible?
Regarding private forms of communication…….I cant say.

                                              “Because if you don’t know……..you just don’t know. “

Your either observing an experiment or you ARE an experiment.

Such a great advice! Thanks! Even in an environment where you can take off your sweater and would feel ok for the entire year, being drugged up from late evening till 7 or 8= NOT COOL. It was a Forest Party that was out in the open, but large trees prevented an open campfire. It was a semi meditative state where you can only focus on the music and nature and the unbearable cold wasn’t good. It would have been better party if there was HEAT.

BEST NATURE PARTY= TRANCE IN A MAYAN TEMPLE
Yes thats right, an actual Mayan Temple. As someone that would put priority over preservation of the site over a really sick party I wouldn’t recommend actually doing one in ANY SITE, the vibration thing. But my friend, who DJ’ed the event was deeply connected in that type of setting and could make it happen on so many levels……it would make it o.k. For everyone else, if you’re not shure if your connected deeply enough for an archeological site…..I wouldn’t recommend it.

Its nothing but parties, hanging out and BBoards……but less BBoards nowadays, the public ones anyway. Some killer parties being posted on here though.

I just go on public boards cause I was….uhmm…..”told” to do that.

Just in case some of my friends see me outside of underground networks…..SCREW YOU GUYS…..I’m deprived of public boards. 😉

Oh yeah….that whole ‘Social Network’ thing? All those sites past and present? Never started in underground parties, infact they are heavily active at Top40 party “circles”. Outside of direct programmers I knew, they just wanted to figure out how things are, peoples, networks, etc. The only reason why some of us are on here is because we’re addicted to computers.

These sites have and always will be the correct format.

Think about it…..outside of the mind, outer interaction is “social networking”……why would you duplicate exactly what happens to the social interaction process, outside your own mind? Unless someone was trying to figure out the whole process. Yes some people are that lonely.

DAY 1 of the social network project was NOT a success. Call it a reverse experiment if you like.

Hey Meat…… great name. Brows around. I think there was a larger crowd that just left. Hopefully they’ll go back or we make the crowd bigger ourselves.

Great track! If this is a track that was meant to be mixed its a perfect filler OR an excellent ending track if you have absolutely no idea what the next dj is playing or where they are at.

Some of the sounds not typical in a regular house track can do wonders for you. 1st, the sound is current, so you can go wherever you want with these type of tracks (what are you wanting? big parties? small parties?…that type of deal). ALSO, I was suprised to hear some sounds that were produced LIVE, infront of a crowd that goes to parties for this type of sound. It became famous for a TON of parties because it kept the crowd going (and kept asking for it). So these sounds have seen clubs stopped at closing,
but requested to continue for several more hours, its seen a non packed party of 4 or 5 people….that knows every other track to the same crowd in the same party (maybe a few parties later), PACKED with strangers and enjoying the same thing.

So I guess as an artist, it can go wherever you want and in the driection you want it to. The tried and tested sounds (i’m smiling cause I’m imagining the device that played that sound) that are in the track is a serious bonus. Is the track on point? Yes. Can it be a competitive sound? Yes. Is it backed by sounds tried and tested in-front of a crowd? Yes.
