its layer based which is the main difference, you got 3 layers to mix together at once. youhave8 banks of 20 to slect your layers from, the layerscanbevids or pics. loadsadifferent waysto mix the files together. and freeframe effectswhich are amazin plugins.

just hit this post old post and thought id reinvigorate it.
nice amount of kit you got there. notbeen in the game for too long. onlygot one source, need to make the leap into hardware and get a video mixer.
im a user of resolume as well, not too much of a fan of arkaos, prefer the layout of res. its hgot exactlythe same function of using a midibox to control which clips start, its just not layedout in the same way. thinkyou get more control as you have to assign each controller to a function. but only tried the demo od arkaos so not really used it properly

anyof you lot tried the program. its what i use. didntlikethe feel of arkaos or vjamm.
did first gig ith a midibox at the weekend, difference is amazing. compared to a normallaptop controls, being able alter two parameter at same time, sounds simple but makes a hell of a difference. just stopped by how supple mafingers are!
