June 6, 2012 at 7:16 pm #1254130they do work, but depending on which nation the girl is coming from and their culture, it might end up happily but you will be kissing goodbye to Blighty and hedonistic lifestyles for a fair few years, perhaps permanently. a lot of chaps (especially a few years older than me) gone down that road though to be fair many of them are quite happy with it all.
given that I’ve spent a good part of my adult life avoiding being married off (older relatives of my extended family in MY still seem to think its a good idea) I tend to avoid this. A friend from the Punjab said it wasn’t as bad as it all seemed, but what puts me off is the intense pressure to produce children (it is not unlike what they do with pandas at China zoos).
for reasons I am still unclear about (it was long before I was a regular on here) an early form of SEO grouped “similar sites” and put Partyvibe in with a Catholic dating agency. It was still shown as such by the mid 2000s and I was sorely tempted to sign up but karma works in odd ways, would probably have ended up today married with about 4 kids and no time for even a bit of music/multimedia stuff 😥

I know loads of stable happy fullfilled relationships WITHOUT children (thats prob why IMO)!!
June 6, 2012 at 8:24 pm #1254131some races/cultures (perhaps understandably for historical reasons) really make a big thing about having kids, but it can be diverse as working class white people in England and SE Asians. Its actually why SE Asia has quietly abandoned the death penalty for small drugs possession as they didn’t want to be executing loads of young people of child producing age when there is already a population decline in MY, SG, PH and ID.
seriously it seems every girl I encounter round here (irrespective of race though its usually a mixture of white girls, pinays and other Asians due to my employment) feels she is a failure if she hasn’t had a child by age 25, and it is common to all races/cultures though a lot of East Anglian culture is not dissimilar to values held in Asian nations TBH…
But FFS its not as if tigers what eat people are everywhere any more, there are less wars and in Europe if people try to be safe on the roads don’t take too many drugs and don’t argue and fight over trivial things they will live to 100 and don’t need large families!
