Seen it on loads of flyers i was just wondering if anyone could esplain what it is? is it like tekno, acid, dnb influenced breakbeat thats really bass heavy and really hard? kind of like the opposite of the plump djs side of breakbeat? If thats not what it is whats that called? apart from hard as fuck breaks?! i was just wondering if it had its own sub-genre? trying to think of some examples… Cursor Minor’s pretty hard as are Ctrl Z & Screwface… any other ideas, views?
March 11, 2007 at 12:58 am #1100947Its kindof like hardcore jungle…similar style of chopping up the breaks but with a hardcore kick.

Though slightly more chilled out again would be artists like doormouse

Then you get the more experimental affairs such as thos found on automation records.
