started off using this site to get back into the party scene after a long break, then used it to advertise partys, make contacts & get advice about rig building. i also used tribal living to hook up with old traveler mates.
lately the site in alot of ways saddend me to see the state of the underground. this forum is the first thing people see if they serch for ileagle rave/free party on the net and they see such things as BDSM, masterbation and lots of heroin topics (i know i’ve added to some)
there are also lots of people who just hang around the forum chating and have no intention of attending partys or contributing to the underground in anyway.i now come here by forse of habbit.:hopeless:

if you dont like the way things are you should speak out.
i dont want to come on here and see topics about pervy sex, i also like to chat with folk who are into the same things as me and help to take the underground movement forward. theres a good handfull of folk off here who i know support the scene up here but theres plenty on here that dont & would rater just use the site for idal chatter and to engage in pervy chat.
when you sift through the topics on here most are just about crap, sex or getting wankerd. this time last year 75% of the topics were pro-active and there was little wastage.

yeah i know what you meen .. but in saing that there are spesific sections of the forum dedicated to other things other than just the underground movment .. and i am sure they were put there for a reason .. if you don’t like whats in them parts don’t read them .. and stick to the free party section .. the way i see this site is its not only here to arange partys or sell your rig parts .. its for educational perposes as well .. be that drugs sexual or otherwise .. there are some posts that are a bit out of place here .. but tbh they are normaly from new users and once they reallise that they have got the wrong end of the stick they tend to leave .. witch is up to them .. but in saing that people that have never been to a free party or will never are not welcome defeats the whole object of the rave sceen in brining people together imo ..

to be honest the sex side of it i find realy dishartening and it shows todays youth in a very bad light.
i put a for sale on here and it just turned into banter, i put one on sj and its got 12 inteligent replys and its free.
i now just use sj for the rig bits as its much much better for that as alot more rig owners go there. i pop on here to send a few pms but as i’ve got the regular party crew from heres numbers anyway i dont need to do that so much. maybe an advert for a party as you never know you might get someone whos number i aint got.
we did get elli driving from brum for our festival which was realy good, that s what we love to see and it makes you feel good that people want to show you that level of support. then again you have another forum member who lived 2 mins from it who went on about it non stop who never showed up and ignored there phone, that says ‘fuck you and your crew, i cant be bothered’.
its quite dishartening with the current british party/non party scene but we recon this will change with the current economic climate peak oil & the global warming cricis..i think were going to stop the partys and try a cafe sound system just for festivals next year till we can get it together to leave the uk.

just because some one doesn’t com e to your party doesn’t meen “fuck you and your crew” .. for all you know they might of had a real reason in life that prevented them from going .. alltho we all like to party and go raves .. well some of us as you put it … we also have real life out side of the party sceen to deal with .. even you don’t party 24/7 …mby he/she just didn’t feel like going … it’s hardly a free party .. if you HAVE to be in attendance .. or will get disowned .. as again that goes against what the sceen is suposed to be about .. freedom of choise ect.

October 5, 2008 at 5:10 pm #1179699people look upon “back in the day” (and by that I only mean 1997-2003 or so) with rose tinted specs -I’ve been on this site since 2002 and there was maybe more open chat about parties and a few pictures, but sites like this and SJ were mostly just used by passive consumers, people would go here for the partyline, they may or may not have actually attended the party (we certainly didn’t ask them lol) and even then there was only a couple of dudes what would bother post a review and pictures of the events..
even then we had to be careful as the cops would scan all the posts (I would see them in the system logs)
in fact there was a big static page of all the London partylines what were constantly active and it was really popular…
incidentally SJ only started getting really darkside after 2005 and it was the first time feds successfully busted loads of parties and crews and confiscated rigs, everyone was understandably bitter and angry because before it was almost as if parties weren’t illegal, but for some reason people turned on each other rather than try to face up to what was going on…
and when parties were going well down south/east people got complacent and didn’t clear up and picked bait venues hence the clampdowns. Today there are lots of people what live in zero tolerance areas and they read here but no longer post as they are just gutted at what happened to the scene and with hindsight this place reminds them of where they went wrong!
I have been thinking of the wider picture (environment/sustainable lifestyles) since the 1980s before I got into raves – I deliberately limit how far I travel to get to parties for this reason, as I choose at present not to own a car (getting a license is going to be very expensive and I don’t need a motor for work) I feel guilty about blagging lifts of people all the time (although this site has helped me meet peopel what have got me to raves and I really appreciate it (they know who they are :wink:))
I am also choosy about which parties I attend and which crews I support as I try to support ones what are doing things for the right reasons…
in my area we have only got legal events but run by the free party crews, so I still go to them and enjoy them also to support the crews with some funds (one crew has had two stacks taken since 2007!)
only reason I dont post big detailed reviews is I’m not a trainspotter with regard to DJ’s/records/genres so I don’t know how to describe the music other than theres a mixture of hardstyle, breaks and electro…

um i never once mentioned your spelling … infact it’sa well known fact that my spelling is apauling … and with regards to the football hooliganism .. i wasn’t talking about ppl that attend your partys .. i was mearly talknig about some comments and some refernces you made to football hooliganism seeming to make yourslef look like you had some thing to do with it .. as for given up on raving b4 you … we’ll see .. i been raving since i was about 14/15 till 23 ..thats 8 years .. i think for a 23 year old thats a fair contrabution to the rave scean .. if your tring to imply that i am a plastic raver like you seem to be painting every one on this site to be
