If you were to pack up and move to somewhere new in the country where would you choose to go to?

        well if in the uk….

not sure – so much choice for me

I love dorset, and cornwall, Devon, brighton and sommerset and….

would have to get a mobile home 😉

moved to the countryside but was far too young and it was ‘too in the sticks’ for me – (?Painswick)
        moved to the ‘town’
and ended back in south london –

due to circumstances – but may have stayed in cheltenham if didnt get with Mr Tank….

Done Somerset and that was nice, a couple of friends have said Brighton is quite good as they moved there a year ago… the southwest still appeals to me, but I do miss the north a lot…

I’m biased as not done much of the north –

only been to chesshire, manchester, liverpool, lake and peak district and yorkshire but mainly out of it camping or parties……..

My family are all based up north so I have spent a fair bit of time up there and also I was born up there too…

I have lived in a few different parts of the UK now and I am quite curious to where other people would like to be…

I like the idea of being abroad but I disagree with going somewhere not being able to speak teh language

The lake district I reckon, I love it round there.
Gets a bit busy in summer though.

Or cornwall nice and warm (compared to yorkshire anyway)

I am thinking about it, I just fancy a change…. It wont be for a few months yet, but just trying to get ideas and work out if its something I really want to do (I regretted doing it last time)

ull have to take me up there once and show me the places u love there, me rach and a coupla ppl went up there ages ago and had a ball of a time (getting lost up the mountain made it even more fun)

if the dreams there, then its always possible as well, not sure i could deal living in the absolute middle of no where

I could live there no problem … only problem are house prices and availability … everybody wants a piece!

and yeah i was only thinking today we need to get people up there to me nans caravan … just need people to bang their heads together and come up with dates etc etc …

when I was living in Reading it was either going to be Wales or East Anglia.

Wales is damp, often cold even in summer, has less jobs and is harder to cycle in (mountains etc), so I’ve been really lucky to end up in East Anglia

got no plans for leaving soon either, OK there aren’t that many illegal raves now but its not the main part of my life any more…..

I’ve never been to the Lake District but it looks fuckin beautiful from pics I’ve seen!!

Brighton’s pretty groovy, and my sis lives there…

But I’m quite happy with being in Cornwall… despite the lack of… anything lol  Newquay has fairly rubbish clubs, though there is the odd good night to be had…

London, as long as I had the money to live reasonably well and get out the city to go partying and other stuff when I wanted.

no, I genuinely don’t actually miss it.

I already knew Suffolk and Essex were on lockdown as obviously I’d chatted to Biotech and Binge loads on here over the years and knew that because of the way ravers were behaving that Norfolk would soon go that way. All three of us were posting warnings about it on here x amount of years ago, and a lot of norfolk kids said it was “all doom and gloom” and carried on as before until their heads started getting cracked and their stacks started disappearing and even then some didn’t eat the fruit of the Thetford Forest clue tree.

Even in SE England/London it was starting to get a bit rubbish when I was still living in Reading (gangs/violence/crew politics), by end 2005 I was just going through the motions.

I actually found being involved in raves more stressful than my day job in the Civil Service, due to the politics and the inevitable hassles with cops etc.

Then Whitehall made me redundant as wars are expensive, so I came here to start a new career and it has been the best thing I ever did. Was always planning to calm down around age 36 anyway.

That said I did find (and still find) a fair few decent events and right up until the time of the lockdown, I even got to a few decent Norfolk outdoor parties in 2006 and 2007 thanks to various people I met on here.

I feel sorry for the younger people who have only just got into the scene but even my younger friends (some are about your age PP!) seem to be all giving up unlicensed events and doing legal stuff or just going back to college/uni or getting careers or starting families!

its a pity but as ive only been going for it for 1/2 years i know no better, was talking to a 40/50 year old who used to be partof DMT had his own 40k rig blahblahblah, and his whole enthusiasm of raving was so interesting and he said the best has gone(he thinks) whitch is a pity, but i guess u gotta make the best outta what ya have
