loads of thunder and lightning here, in a village between Ipswich and Stowmarket

Power and telecoms are all on overhead poles, lights flickering

2 x BT lines already lost dial tone in the next office..

if I go off line abruptly in the next few hours you will know why..

Wish we had thunder storms, I quite enjoy just relaxing with them going on outside.

We are having very heavy rain here followed by lovely sun :you_crazy

Well at least the weather looks like it should be sunny locally to me for the weekend, so i think i shall be out side as much as i can if the forcast is true! :bounce_ci

Its getting really dark here but no rain yet

do hope the weather gets a bit brighter for Ambient Picnic on sunday

However I too do enjoy thunderstorms esp trying to photograph lightening as I’m always too slow 😉

We’ve had torrential rain and thunder and lightening on and off for the past week up here in fact more since the weekend before last…

cleared up but and now another storm – phones are back (surge protectors at BT must have kicked in and then reset), but the electric is seriously fluctuating, I reckon its dropping below 200V at some points.

Don’t want to bother EDF with whinging though about this as their lot are gonna be deployed out on far more important stuff like restoring power to old people in remote areas.

I hope our surge protectors on the mains kit live up to their claims…

the computers haven’t reset and the network is just about holding up (WLAN cuts out occasionally) – its a credit to the Chinese who design and manufacture the equipment nowadays that any of our IT kit is still working here!

wow, I could see the strike that was over my village recently,

Mid/North Essex appears to be being hit very hard. Glad I’m not in Colchester (mind you this would be the case even in high summer :laugh_at:)
