Was drinkin some earlier and thought it tasted a bit weak, now only 5%:hopeless: whats going on? surely it used to be more than that:crazy_diz

Still, doesnt beat this stuff though, real golden ale, 8.5% and very nice tasting indeedy!… (about £1.50 a bottle in asda though:cry:)

duvals well nice. quite like that eiken artois thats come out recently (oak aged stella). only 4% but quite a nice drink as well. Was drinking leffe over the weekend, thats pretty tasty too…

Can confirm, Stella was 5.2 and is now 5%. My heavy stella drinking friend was moaning about it at a party on Saturday….:cry:

Stella Artois ABV and packaging changes

Recently we’ve had some questions about differences in the Stella Artois packaging and ABV. Here’s as an explanation as to we why we decided to make the changes:

As part of InBev UK’s investment into Stella Artois we introduced new primary and secondary packaging for Stella Artois. This packaging change is happening across the globe and began in the UK from September 2008.

We used this opportunity to harmonise the ABV of Stella across channels to 5% (it was at 5.1% in the on trade and 5.2% in the off trade.)

By harmonizing the ABV we are providing the consumer with consistency and clarity. This will have no impact on the taste of the brand but will allow consumers to enjoy a consistent strength lager at home or in the pub.

Stella’s ok… Far from my choice of drink but at least its not Fosters… I’m sorry but anyone who can get drunk off of Fosters is beyond me. Its impossible, its apparently 4.9% but I bet its like 0.5%.

Mate im with you. I love drinking beer but i don’t like being well pissed. Fosters is the way forward, Tastes nice (Imo) is f*cking cheap and you can drink till the cow comes home and ruins all your fun. 😉

The UK stuff is rough totally full of shit. I tend to stick to German beers as they are not allowed to contain any additives.
