Very concerned that the last three times over the last two months that i’ve been out that it has taken me at least a week to get over a night out. Worried that bein 31 one and all that its time to knock it on the head. I had to take a week of work after only one night out. Only had a few dabs of mandy and was back in bed for 9am. Might try gettin fitter and improving the diet or is it age related?

Being fitter and eating well during the week definitely helps.

What I found helped the most was only doing acid. It was the mandy and the speed that made me feel so unconnected to the real world the following week. That an sleep deprivation so some decent sleeping pills on hand for the sunday night just incase I’ve over done it.

Plus I realising that I can not to two nights on the trot anymore helped. 😥

Yeah I think your are right. I had been sick there for over two years and started to feel better there at xmas. But during those two years my diet was poor. Going to try and get fit for the bangface weekender.

God do you remember being able to go out fri, sat and maybe the pub on sunday.

I have only ever tried Acid twice and it was a half i took. It freaks me out too much. I don’t like seeing things that aren’t there.

I tend to only go out to partys once in a while now –
esp as I work shifts and often at the weekend,
so its often planned with days off etc

and I think as I’ve got older I’m fully aware I’m not invinsible and take my responsibilites more seriously – which has had an impact on getting munted like I used to

tend to ‘save myself’ for festies and always book a few days off to recover,

and mainly only to drink these days at the ‘weekends’

I eat healthily and try and balance rest / free time and work during the rest of my time and not get too caught up in the rat race

A few years ago we’d be going out Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday morning, Saturday night and then Sunday morning and then going to work on the Monday. If I tried that now I think I’d die!!! Or at least get carried out of a party crying somewhere. 😥 I’m definitely not young anymore.

I’ve learnt not to go out because I feel obligated too, that was a huge thing for me. Now I only going out because I really want to.

Fair play it does take me longer to recover these days too, but I reckon it always took that long really, I just never used to give a shit!

I often go out these days without endulging in anything that affects my enthusiasm levels because, tbh, the bass and the vibe keep me going much more than any (external) chemical ever could.

I find that 5HTP helps with moody mondays, tetchy tuesdays and weepy wednesdays (it also helps with getting back into a normal sleep pattern because seratonin converts into melatonin which moderates sleep) if I have happened to have an Especially good time though.

Just because you are over 30 does NOT mean the end of raving, it just means you REALLY appreciate a nice sleep, a hot bath, a healthy meal and an envigorating walk on the way back down.

I do suffer from ‘dub-knee’ though if I dance too much… and I generally just can’t help myself :bounce_fl
