i been doing unix since before windows 2 was released ! think i still have some floppies with windows 1 on them somewhere, weird little gui that only had one full screen window and only ran one program at a time. way behind the state of the art which was multi window multi processing with CDOS and GEM. and computer scientists (of which i are not one) would probably say that 27 years later it still is technically way behind 😉 it was ibm made the pc revolution possible and, thanks to their early market power, we now have a wide range of operating systems to choose from 🙂
