all to do with power, not the truth
Prescott is a man who is prepared to use physical force (admittedly to defend himself to an extent) against a member of the public so I think he wholly believes that dubya is crap – and TBH its the first sensible thing I have heard Prescott say for a long time.
but Blair needs to prove that he has more power than the fatboy who is under him to preserve the hierarchies within Government – which is the only reason Prescott is not allowed to voice his opinion
Also there is that constant worry that if Britain is not shown to have “strong government” the special relationship will slowly crumble Americans will pull out their financial investments in our country (which is the only reason it really exists)
