I cant get the RSS link to work…im using Firefox and the RSS logo doesnt come up where it should on the site.I also have an extension to add RSS feeds into Firefox from links and that doesnt work either.
Any ideas?January 31, 2005 at 8:02 pm #1063360
Try the link marked 0.91 and let me know how you get on…
RSS feeds currently available from this site in two formats, RSS and RSS v2. The differences are as follows:
RSS 0.91 – This feed is based on a standard written by netscape and provides a link and the title of the thread.
RSS 2.0 – This feed contains title, author, date and the contents of the first post of the thread.

go into the bookmark manager on firefox
from the menu select
copy the URL for the 0.91 feed into the box where it says “feed location”
you end up with a folder icon and a + on the left – click on this and it will expand and shows links to all the new posts – its basically like a set of bookmarks in a folder but they are auto updated by the RSS feedJanuary 31, 2005 at 10:08 pm #1063362
nope,still doesnt work
most odd,ive never had a problem with any of my other feedsJanuary 31, 2005 at 10:28 pm #1063364
unfortunately you can’t export the live bookmarks (unless someone knows how) otherwise I’d have posted it here as an attachment… but what I have attached is a screenshot showing how I did it
Mind you the firefox docs mention some icon in the status bar which is presumably activated by some code on the hosted page and like you said that doesnt’ appearFebruary 8, 2005 at 7:03 pm #1063367

what’s RSS ?:oFebruary 13, 2005 at 5:12 pm #1063365
RSS = Really simple syndication (US media term for transmitting content across more than one network)
its when you go on to a board and there is a box with headlines from somewhere else (anotehr message board or a news site) – you can then click on the headlines and go to the original site from whence they came.
BTW I’ve had the livebookmarks on partyvibe running for a week now on firefox without problems…
