If they made the trains cheeper here .. I might even contenplate getting on a bike and then getting on a train. ATM it’s way much easyer (and cheeper) to just jump in a car. if i have to travel anywhere outside of london.

In NL that same fare will get you (and a bike) from Hoek Van Holland to Groningen/Drenthe (you could actually ride into Germany from there).

This is what a Dutch railway station and their trains looks like – the music is a very silly cover version of a cheesy europop tune (though the lyrics are useful for practising my Dutch) but they are certainly smart when it comes to transport.
