a few people tried to guess my age at last weekends party…

average answers went from 19-22

that means I should be able to blag a third go at my youth (although I have made a decision I am gonna settle down at age 36)

incidentally, have any of the older ones here had people actually younger than them express surprise as the fact you are “still” raving and say “well I’ll do this until I’m in my mid 20s and then settle down?”

I can understand people like your parents and the old bill saying “you are too old for this” but I’ve heard it from ravers as well :surprised

I’ll be 36 this year, i know i have only been partying since Dec 04 but know so many of the young guys who always come get a hug from me, there is a group of them that say they know it’s gonna be a good party if i’m about and they hope they grow up to be like me, i don’t know whether it’s cause i have learnt to party without drugs or the fact i dance like a loon but i take it as a compliment anyway raaa :bounce_fl .
Party is good for me it makes me smile loads and keeps me fit.:weee:

yeah – I think a lot of people grow up too fast TBH (I know so many people who gave up raving in their mid 20s and just disappeared into normal suburban life)..

I’m only calming down these days because of time/work pressures and money situation but whatever happens I will always be there to support people who want to party or to do something better with their lives..

I used to party mad when I was younger and had no responsibilities, (mainly squat and ‘free’ events, not liking or being able to afford the more commercial clubs) and I knew those in the know of where and when etc,

Having moved a hundred odd miles away, and then back again after a few years my friends seemed to have ‘grown up’ and calmed right down and I sort of did with pub’s becoming more regular with occasional private or legal events here and there, but the spark that’s always been there has been rekindled and I plan to party on throughout my 30’s raaaand long into when I need a hip opp due to the terrible state of my dancing technique!

My friends dad who’s well into his 60’s (and recently had a kidney transplant) is a regular on the 40’s and 50’s dancing scene in london and a great inspiration to ‘us youngsters’ !!
