[how long are the cuts?if they didnt get stitched it may be worth going down to the chemists and asking for steristrips [sticky ‘stitches’ ] to keep them from opening all the time?]

got a V shape cut (bout inch long each side) from base of first finger to down between thumb. got x-rayed and steri-stripped and bandaged 1st time, didne even get outta the hosp and blood everwhere! went back they re-did it all, numbed me up, pulled back flap (got to see my own knuckle, very white an shiny, nice!) pulled a bit of glass out, coupla sutures, more steris, pressure bandage, sling an off again.
coupla hours later walk back into A&E, bandage soaked, sling soaked, bloody mess basically. so more stitches, skin-links and lots of glue, pressure bandage, high sling, an orders from a scary Sister to NOT DO ANYTHING!
Which I have to say I have obeyed, other people’s blood is fine but lots of mine made me feel a bit . . . .:yakk:
Its been ok today, bit of blood through dressing but settled. shouldn’t have bled like that, if it doesn’t heal may have blood tests, clotting probs a possibililty.
