TBH I got the impression the scene there was mostly for kids/teens and based around drinking. There were (maybe still are) dance music events but as a coastal area its easy for the drugs culture to get out of hand (i.e moving from party drugs to addictive class A’s) and then the more noisy bits of it get stomped on by the authorities.

loads of booze a mix of teenagers n stag/hen parties n a fair bit of coke, pills are about but often shit. When I used to go about 6 years ago there were beach parties n weed about, last couple of times there was hardly any of that, some OK DnB nights on though
