No, not me – the drummer I played with yrs ago is with them now. He sent me this photo a while back of him on stage when they supported Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer & Anthrax at Sonisphere last year…was wild seeing about 20,000 metallers in front of him!

Manowar…haha – they’re classic…very silly, but they kinda get away with it! WE-ARE-MANOWAR!!!!

ahhh right, totally misread all this (one too many sherbets!), sick man!only think is….did he twat Dave Mustane in the face? in not….WHY NOT? that man has such a holier than thou thing about him, mind you metallica are much better. Anthrax are fucking legends, but, slayer…..S L A Y E R. end of….tony araya is a don!

manowar – return of the warlord!!! :laugh_at::laugh_at:

do you think those guys ever realised just how stupid they looked? was a wee bit homoerotic, even for power metal

agreed, Mustaine….what a cock!! I’d probably like Megadeth if he wasn’t in them. And Slayer…YES!!

It pleases me to see that Manowar are still going strong and still flying the flag for true Warriors of Metal…bless em! They must all be in their 50s now!

I’m into my fuzzy, slugded out stoner stuff; al-a: eyehategod, iron monkey, weedeater, bongzilla, electric wizard, stonebride.. you can’t beat the groove and the drone!

Also lots of Technical stuff like Atheist, Tool, Meshuggah, Sikth, etc

I used to love groove metal when I was younger, but my CDs don’t get so much play time these days!

              bongzilla are a good band

lot of the time if i’m not listening to black metal, it grindcore; bands like pig destroyer, birdflesh, genghis tron….who are amazing, if you like grind core and edm, then they are a seminal blend of the two

You heard any pre-‘Hate Crew Deathroll’ stuff by Children of Bodom? The first three albums are so much better, in particular ‘Hatebreeder’ and ‘Follow the Reaper’. The neoclassical guitar playing on these albums are astounding.

I had a dream many years ago in which I walked into an old bedroom of mine to find a synth lying on my old bed. I started thinking sounds and tunes and the synth played them for me.

Now that I think about it, I’m surprised I’m not hearing more stuff like this. It’s pretty basic. Maybe I’ll make one.
