On the way into Manchester city centre today a young lad and his GF walked past a bin and then flung his empty cig. packet on the floor. This really peevs me off. Am I right to be or would you say that I’m changing into a grumpy old man:confused:
August 6, 2006 at 11:23 pm #1085172really pisses me off too :get_you::get_you::get_you::get_you::get_you:
so guess that makes two of us being old and grumpy [garble warble fascist]:wink:

August 6, 2006 at 11:37 pm #1085178Glad I’m not the only one:wink:
August 6, 2006 at 11:49 pm #1085170Nah this sort of thing has always pissed me off.
We hire the soundsystem out quite regularly to promoters who use a venue right next to the beach. When we look out across the beach, at the end of the tanning day, it’s strewn with bottles, cans, plastic bags, tissues and worst of all, buckets/wrappers of KFC and chicken bones.
There are bins all along the beach and there is no excuse. People take things for granted too much.
August 6, 2006 at 11:57 pm #1085179Instead of ‘spotters’ handing out fines why don’t the powers that be enforce a law whereby they [the litter louts] have to clean all the litter from a beach etc. I think they’d think twice about slinging their empty KFC/McDonalds bag again.:hopeless: :hopeless:

August 7, 2006 at 11:07 am #1085176I think it is just a reflection on this society as a whole where some ‘people’ just expect others to clean up after them whether it be litter or devestation they have left behind by their behaviour.
and I am fully aware I’ve been a grumpy old woman since the day I was born!!!:crazy:

yeah I can understand trash being thrown on the ground at areas etc where bins have been removed due to terrorist threat (a bomb in a cast iron bin makes it a shrapnel weapon) but people seem to enjoy contaminating their neighbourhood..
and then everyone moans about seagulls and rats in large numbers.. Who can blame them if they are getting an abundant food source?
August 7, 2006 at 11:13 am #1085177I agree.Its totally piss offing when crews put loads of time, effort and often money into putting on a party only to wind up clearing up after everybody as well.i know theres allways one or two individuals who take it upon themselves to help (general allround Good Types,bless Em but as a percentage of the actual revellers they number very few.I think if youve enjoyed a wicked party for fre,Everyone should be on the case.

Ahhh! GL you’ve hit the nail right on the head once again. And to cap it off the people that moan about the ‘so called’ vermin running amok are usually the ones decimating the rural/urban areas with their ‘left overs’.:hopeless:
August 8, 2006 at 6:03 am #1085175Also hate it when people throw litter out their car window while they are driving….SHAME ON YOU
August 8, 2006 at 9:05 pm #1085171I hate it at parties when ppl throw their shit everywhere..
This weekend we went an put bin bags round all the trees and at each corner of the tent etc.. there were loads an we put new ones in when the were full but we still cleared some amount of crap up..
Had ppl accuse us of trying to steal their beer when we were pickin up stuff it was mental.. i nearly lost it with one guy who saw me picking stuff up an just threw his bottle on the floor he was sittin rite beside 3 bags tied to the tree!!!! arghhhhh
Asked him if he knew what that was (pointing to the bag) and he got all arsey sayin what does it matter etc.. to which i replied that it was ass holes like him that stopped us from using sites for parties again… got a bit annoyed…
