Ah i think your being paranoid, i dont have to worry about people seeing my pictures as my family already know what i get up to.

And i would be shocked if work ever looked at this page, TBH i have seen worse pictures on myspaz and similar sites. Looking on sights like that i have seen people snorting lines in pictures and pictures of blatent drug abuse.

One day they may come back to haunt me but then it will be a case of “oh i was young and stupid”

Angel has a point, but it depends a lot on your personal circumstances which can always change, plus the way you use the internet.

Even if your family accepts your activities there is always the issue that your employers or school/college/university may not, as these days as an employee or student you are viewed as representing their “brand image”.

However this normally only becomes an issue if you use their internet connections for personal use and/or openly discuss where you work or study in your blog or other personal webspace.

However lots of places run by organisations which don’t agree with drug use/partying tend to block sites like myspace and DSI anyway, which actually has a protective effect as most of the time your bosses can’t or won’t get past the blocks.

However, most people who get caught out by pictures of themselves on the internet have actually been stitched up by someone who knows them and has grassed on them to bosses / lecturers / head teachers by forwarding the link – life is very competitive, in some cities many young people work in the same companies and even “friends” don’t always have integrity when competing for something like a promotion, a college place or a dream job.

Also, many employers do google your email address or any “street or screen name” you may be known by – so its probably not a good idea to give a prospective “conventional” employer (i.e not music/entertainment business) a myspace address or an email address you use a lot for social/leisure purposes.

until very recently I worked for a government department as an IT contractor, and I was very careful about who I told I was a raver (but they blocked SJ, DSI and some bits of partyvibe anyway so my bosses wouldn’t have been able to find out).

At the same time I was a lot more involved in organising free parties, so I never admitted to being in any pictures on the internet, nor would I divulge my real date of birth (bear in mind also that there aren’t that many Asian ravers so I am easy to identify)

I didn’t like all this subterfuge, but at the same time I enjoyed my job and needed the money for survival.

Now I work in a family business (so they all know what I’m like :laugh_at:) and just go to the odd rave rather than help sort out buildings/rigs so I can afford to let my guard down a bit..

the chances of anyone coming on here and finding out are slim,(not that i have anybody who would really give a shit cept my ma. if she does find this website, it wont be unlucky, it will be fate, as she doesnt even know how to make word work
