Check out this baby and tell me how much Ian Curtis would have loved the Acid House scene. Turn down the lights and give this man some glow sticks:wink:
Seen them supporting the Buzzcocks at the Apollo in Manchester and he had to be carried of stage due to his epileptic seizures. Quality just pure quality. Steve Morris’ excellent drumming wasn’t used as much when they went tech. Very under-rated drummer in some quarters.
PV and YouTube help me soooooooo much.

Sorry about that mate but this one is a good choice to expose the adroitness of Ian.
And a little ditty from John Cooper Clarke at the end. Sorry if this is a tad off PV topic but I think Joy Division were a great influence on many dance tunes.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bh03MhIiLVY&mode=related&search=
Is Hooky one of the best bass players of all time or what?

Quality! I like Joy divison but most of what I heard of them were from my brother as they were just before my time. Sounds quite timeless though.

I wouldn’t say this is off topic for pv though. It may be a losely based around free parties and dance music but nothing is set in stone.

I also only heard of Joy Division from older punks etc and TBH only know of “Love will tear us apart” but IMO they were a definite influence on early dance music particularly the part of the scene that originated from the North of England…

Joy Division evolved into New Order who made Blue Monday which was one of the first UK Dance 12s,so imho joy Division did have a major influence on the scene we are all part of today.

Ahh. You can put me in that ‘bracket’ then G.L.
BTW ‘Blue Monday’ is the highest selling 12inch single of all time.
