signing is great and a skill which should in my view be taught in main stream schooling along with lip reading, wouldnt the world be a better place if everybody could communicate with everybody?

I am with you on that one – signing is a great skill and has more applications than just for those hard of hearing – noisy jobs, nightclub employees, talking in windy conditions outside,….

I supose it wasn’t that bad for me at least i learnt to cook various stuff as all the ingredients were paid for by the other students.

Also cut the cost of the food as they didnt have to pay caterers to cook the food….

So i suppose everyone was happy…

I reckon what hurts my hearing the most isnt anything to do with loud music or bass, but its people shouting at high levels at point blank range into your ear.

Thats my mistake verytime i go clay pigeon shooting. I just stick to rifles now. Alot less noisy with a moderator slapped on the end.

I dont know why i do it! I own more than enough ear plugs etc as the noise when riding my motorbike is terrible. I just never bother with them….

Urm rifles less noise just as much fun! should go for that option really!

Plenty of dj’s (including most of the big names) use them and I’m told that they really are brilliant. You don’t lose any clarity at all, so you don’t get that muddy/muffled noise associated with normal earplugs.
