Going out in Norwich (legal events)

any good? there seem to be a lot of events on DSI at venues in the area, but of course all the groups would be run by the promoters or their mates and I’d like to hear more impartial stuff

I’ve always been tempted but looking for places with 6am licenses if poss as I don’t drive and I’ve otherwise got to wait around for the next train back to Ipswich

also I hear mixed stories about personal safety, some say “oh its a really nice friendly student type place” but I read EDP and every day someones got done over, not jacked (like in london) but just set upon out of anger – being non-white I’m always a bit concerned about this especially with the tension of todays society.

I also hear stories like how a workmates son (white British) just went out there and got bare grief about being a “tractor boy” (to the point he felt intimidated enough for it to spoil his night) when he isn’t even a footy mad person and didn’t even start any argument over footy :you_crazy

so what are the good venues, and any places to avoid?

Iv’e never had a problem in Norwich but i tend to stay away from that main Comercial club strip up from the train station i think its prince of wales rd?.

Last time I went to the mustard lounge for a break beat night, it was ok.
Ive heard they do some good nights at what was the loft but have not been myself.

As for 6am licenses in not sure if any clubs in Norwich have one but i might be wrong

Norwich is safe mate, people are friendly.

Doesn’t seem to be many decent underground nights though (probably the lack of venues), its all very commercial..

there is indeed a lack of venues in norwich…

if its jungle/dubstep/breakcore your after i hear Amen-tal put on good nights 🙂

Went to media(the loft) was good no attitudes music was ok bit on the small side though arrena in yarmouth is good i know mayhem do a night there like i said before and i think in june they have a 12 hour summer thing going on.
i tend to keep myself to myself when im out so don’t get in too much trouble and always make sure when i leave im with mates.
