yep – its an invisible setting. Not sure if all users can have it or just mods, although vbulletin often allows normal users to have it. there are various security-related reasons why I do this. Bear in mind I have to occasionally check that users are on here for the right reasons, but I do not want them to know I am doing this. its more a throwback from the days there was more free party stuff on here (we had feds and journos from half the world stalking the board!) but its handy to catch out spammers, many of whom are actual humans these days just chancing it…
