Sent a couple letters to Lloyds with only one reply saying it will take 4 weeks to look in to my “complaint” – sod that I went straight to the Money Claim Online site after I didn’t receive a response to my second letter and had to pay 50 quid to start my claim, I just hope it’s gonna be accepted.

Anyone had much luck with this?

sending your own made up letter tells them that you are just trying it on. use the standard letters that you can find online for free and they will be unable to tell whether or not you’ve had legal advice

Not that I think you need to worry, but bear in mind that there was a recent case where a bank won the battle with regards to claiming back bank charges. The tide is starting to turn back in their favour.

Even if some people do win back their bank charges (which are blatantly unfair) the banks will just make the money back in other ways like eventually going back to charging for banking services as opposed to the free service most of us get.

I’d still say go ahead and try your luck though!

That case was only in a county court so no precident has been set, it needs to be tried in a high court for precident to be set, so i say go for it 🙂

The letters were sent wasn’t just “gimmie my money”, they were done properly.

I also heard about that Burrwick(?) case…. people still seem to be getting their doe back, I’ll just have to wait and see.
