For some reason earlier today it has started to play up for me, all my bookmarks have disappeared and every time I open it up, it re sets itself to default (toolbar changes etc)…

Ive re installed it twice but still doing it :you_crazy

                Backs up Thunderbird too

I use it all the time.

However – any Firefox updates I’ve had have retained all my bookmarks etc.

More likely is your profile might have become corrupted – worth checking it’s still there.

Look in your C drive/Documents and Settings/Your User Name/Application Data/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/the next folder will be called something.default, then your bookmarks should be in that folder as an HTML file
Check that they are actually there and if Firefox is still not displaying them as normal then open ‘Manage Bookmarks’ from the Bookmarks menu in Firefox and import them as a file

Its faintly possible, if i remember right, that you may not have an Application Data folder visible,…if this is the case, then open your Control Panel and then the Folder Options folder then click the View tab and in the list of options displayed, there will be an option to show hidden files and folders.

what you mean to say is – as usual no name has been f**king around with the settings and it doesn’t work ……. :hopeless:

The the only problems I ever had was with useless IE :yakk:

although – I haven’t installed the latest Firefox updates – maybe a bug in the updates ?
