Hi all ,
Eating healthy is good but you gotta treat yourself once and a while , like say once a week . However if you treat yourself every day then ……hows it a treat .Weekends are you time and are ment for letting lose , enjoy them cos you just suffered 5 days of work ๐ .
Have a happy sloppy weekend one and all ๐
Regards

ahhhh, fair enough, not much point worrying about what u eat when you have consumed 6 pints of ale
October 21, 2010 at 6:05 pm #123014295% of the time we do – for me a normal day is breakfast: muesli with fruit and nuts, lunch is something nice on toast, dinner is where most of the effort goes and its lush and in the day snacks are something with some protein to stop my blood sugar going to the boom and bust cycle (which works well by the way). Not big on sugars anymore though I sometimes eat a sweet dessert if its there :weee:
October 21, 2010 at 6:13 pm #1230141Though I eat relatively “healthily” at night and do cook for myself, I have a bad habit of eating all sorts of junk during the day, working late and eating past midnight, and washing this down with as much beer as I can obtain.
This, predictably has caused me to gain slightly more weight than I wish to have so I have been trying to eat and drink less recently, ironically though since not taking as many stimulants this is much harder to do!
However as I feel otherwise healthy and am physically active I don’t think its worth torturing myself with starvation diets and hard exercise for the sake of a couple of kilos..

had Ginsters for tea tonight. it’s funny cos when i dont drink for a few weeks i can keep a healthy diet up fairly easily but after a few pints all i want is curry etc or in tonights case, fookin ginsters!

I eat a lot for a women but for this pleasure I have to endure exercise.
Today I have had:
2 slices of brown toast with peanut butter and jam
banana
apple
cheese & ham salad sandwich
plain crisps
chunky kit katTonights dinner I am making pollack & leek risotto or just a fish pie.. haven’t decided yet.

MungoOctober 22, 2010 at 6:56 pm #1230143working 9 – 5 for the first time ever – its been really nice to ‘be good to myself’ diet wise –
as although I generally have a pretty good diet (apart from my occasional love of pizza and wrong un :laugh_at:)
I used to eat at really random times working shifts – and esp night shifts – and have read that this can lead to diabetes in later life due to highs and lows of body sugars and long fasting times etc
so I am now museli in the am for breckie, either left overs, salad or cous cous salad for lunch, (another money saving thing too) raisins (have to be sunmaid for some mental reason) apple and then a nice healthy veg / fish or summat dinner.
tonight i had veg and haddock (smoked )
yum yum

Mungoello matey!
shattered! the gym is helping me stay alert and I’ve put about 1/2 stone gradually on over the summer – too much lazyness, booze and partying and nothing else – so am keen to shift it – as was worried I might become a bloater not smoking too – as most people I know usually put about a stone on – but thankfully thats not happened!!! (Phew!)and did the alan carr book!! no patches for me!
my best mate is still using nicotine inhalator and lozenges nearly 2 years on… I guess its better than smoking but it really is just nicotine maintenance like methadone is to smack in my mind..
