Help! need ideas for stuff to cook, parents expecting me to cook once a week for them. Currently compiling a collection of recipes from the net just need some inspiration.
June 12, 2011 at 2:38 pm #1240722Thia currys are a personal faveourite.
If your not a great cook what I would do is buy some chicken breasts (1 breast per person) and buy some of the jarred ready made curry sauces, or whatever sort you want (there really cheap and pretty damn good actually), uncle bens is good. then buy some rice, you can get microwavable rice thats good but can be quite expensive.
Chop your chicken breasts into reasonable sized cubes, fry them in the pan with oil for 5 mins, add the sauce and cook for 15-20mins medium heat. the rice should only take about 10 minutes if you cook it in boiling water. Serve with cold beer
Bon apetit 🙂

hmm chilli con carne! and i spag bol but make your own meatballs (super easy). and potato dauphinoise is surprisingly easy and you could cook it with green beans and a steak or something. and another thing that is really nice and quite easy to make it tagliatelle with green pesto and then mix some prawns in with it.. yum! ^_^

sadly its mains mums after so she doesn’t have to cook. Its annoying I suggested I cook a meal next week and her reply was “yes that would be lovely if you could cook one meal a week”. The more you offer to do the more they expect grrrr
But then I dont have a job so should really help out more I guess

and I hear meat has changed alot since then, all I remember is fat, gristle and icky stuff, and liver and kidneys tasting of weebut the thought of chewing it made me feel sick so I didnt
