Just got back from the curry house, had the chefs special which I found out towards the end includes raw chicken in the centre. Rushed back to let you all know.
*vomits*

November 21, 2009 at 8:16 pm #1220774first proper meal out in months to and it cost 50 quid in total. grrrrrrrrr
November 21, 2009 at 8:25 pm #1220770it was raw in the centre and you paid 50 quid?
nutter.
November 21, 2009 at 8:28 pm #1220775well we had a lot of starters side dishes rice drinks etc. They didn’t charge us for the food that was raw and took off a few drinks. Felt like making more of a fuss but then it ruins the night and turns it into a massive issue. The rest of the food was lush.
What would others here have done? (literally, not throwing my toys out of the pram)
ps anxiety issues don’t help arguing with members of staff either 🙁 most annoying.
November 21, 2009 at 8:39 pm #1220771nah i thought you paid for the raw chicken, thats cool. if everything else was nice it was obviously just a genuine mistake.

November 21, 2009 at 8:43 pm #1220772sue them if you get ill.
November 21, 2009 at 8:44 pm #1220777November 21, 2009 at 8:45 pm #1220766in this case it depends how hungry i was i would probably still eat it… wouldnt make a fuss, just ask for another and in jest remind him to actually cook it
if i fell ill i would assault the establishment with a foam bat

To be honest mate you were decent to not make a massive issue, however I would not have expected to pay a penny for the meal.
I worked as a chef for a few years and serving raw meat was a big NO NO, a chef I worked with sent out a chicken dish that turned out to be raw in the middle and we had no end of trouble with the EHO (environmental health officer).
You could have really played hell with the curry house but you didnt, they should have given you the meal for free..

you are too kind 😉
im the same though, dont like arguing with staff. I often think avoiding a confrontation is the easiest way out
although its all good practice for mad max, which is basically going to happen

November 22, 2009 at 11:01 pm #1220756It would have been a thing to stand up in the restaurant while loudly voicing your concerns about raw meat. In that case, I’m sure you wouldn’t have paid anything at all and they’d prob hav rushed you a replacement as well

well I did complain about the raw meat very loudly in-front of about 4 people picking up takeaways. Could have made a scene but would have put me in a shit mood so not really worth it, but it was very annoying. Restaurant was empty too so think it will be out of business soon perhaps hence the lack of a refund. nothing to lose.
meh life moves on
