got one of these today, its wicked! anyone else into water filtration?
October 6, 2010 at 9:35 pm #1229832yes mate filtration is the way forward! my mum has a water filter in her fridge an whenever i go home i drink so much of it. tastes so fresh and nice an cold cos its been in the fridge. make sure you change the filter tho whenever it needs it. i always try to buy a bottle of water whenever i go into a shop too. i swear it helps out with the k bladder problems alot better than tap water. which is quite harsh around Brighton area.
everyone else thinks im weird about this obsession of mine so glad to see i aint the only one!October 6, 2010 at 9:36 pm #1229828does it filter out the flouride though?

think they put it in all over the uk mate…
October 7, 2010 at 9:42 am #1229825Fluoride is already in the water across the world, it gets in there from rocks etc
Fluorite – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Some water authorities do add extra if the NHS asks them to up to a max limit set by the EU. Both the NHS and water companies are aware people are paranoid about the stuff (as it can cause kids teeth to become mottled if there is too much) and the amount of it is closely monitored. With the water companies now private its extra work for them anyway so they aren’t doing it for fun…
if you look on AW website the levels where I live are fairly low and even lower where process lives.
October 7, 2010 at 9:51 am #1229830apparently they dont put flouride in the water in continental europe…
October 7, 2010 at 10:35 am #1229826its less common in the UK nowadays – I expect the EU monitoring régime and advances in science mean most areas realise there is enough in the water already to provide some health benefits. I remember it being a controversial issue when I was in junior school!
TBH most of the scares about the stuff today seem to come from America, where health and safety is always secondary to free market considerations…
these are the results for my area..
We do not add fluoride to the water in this supply zone. There is a low level of naturally occurring fluoride. The average fluoride concentration for this supply zone from January 2010 to June 2010 was 0.447 mg/l (regulatory standard = 1.5 mg/l)
October 7, 2010 at 12:29 pm #1229839perhaps they do then, all I know is that Southampton are up in arms about it because they are considering putting it into their water (as all the kids teeth are falling out).
October 7, 2010 at 1:51 pm #1229836i love the water filter! we call it posh water in our house! gotta remember to change the filter! we got an asda filter and gosh darn it i cant find a replacement filter for it anywhere!
