went out earlier with the lads to check the wind speed (its Poliente today – onshore so safe to test the boat)
Long story short, they need max 25 knots for testing but it was 36/8 gusting to 42/4 knots so we shelved testing idea an went off in the van down the coast.
They dropped me off at shell cove an drove on to good spot with cafe etc called Arte Vida, I walked down the coast to meet them.
Mad walk! winds upped a notch rain came in, sand storm screaming along the beach up to knee height, got soaked an blown all over an, like the true nutcase i am, loved it!
Met em at Arte, some kites/windsurfers out, looking at it, scary as fuck so there’s loads of us watching, going ‘ouch’ every now and again, bloody mental bastrds.
bout 4 ish we came home, siesta time and the wind has just been building ever since.
Its going fucking mental out there! 42/4 gusting to 50 and not letting up, and i’m wondering just how bad it can get!:weee:

went out in a boat once, the girl sailing it, knew I was shitting it (not the greatest swimmer) and she decided to show off and fuck me up, we nearly crashed into a yaught and nearly went under twice,
certainly achieved her goal and made me so anxious to go in one again I very much doubt i will again – atleast without some vallies :hopeless:

to be truthful its been ace down here, getting to the point where its bloody amazing but also ‘this is actually bit scary too’ u know? (which is xcellent, not like bein bloody terrified)
it died down in the night but its up again now, don’t know how strong cause we’ve only stood at the door, the beach is just a white mash up!, not been out with the anometer an measured wind yet
off out for a walk in a bit cause there’s sunshine too now :bounce_fl

I’m in Tarifa, Spain. (know where Gibralta is? Go further south, most southerly tip of Europe, Morrocco is 7 miles straight across the Straits)
Devon’s lush tho too – an a lot easier to get to!
