we should sell them to some rich Chinese, probably in somwhere like Singapore or Hong Kong (in hindsight perhaps we should have offloaded the royals on them when we gave Hong Kong back), as they tend to like our old relics out there.They could keep them in the Zoo for most of the year like exotic pets and ship them back to Blighty every so often to keep people who still believe in this outdated stuff happy and give the press photographers something to keep them occupied. The money raised could be put towards the NHS (who are currently looking after Phil the Greek who was taken ill this weekend at Sandringham and got bluelighted to Papworth). I wouldn’t suggest keeping him in the orangutan enclosure as the apes would complain about the behaviour of the new arrival and it would be against animal rights. 😉

Malaysia already has the much more efficient and cheaper to run (and wonderfully named) Yang di Pertuan Agong who is actually elected (but they have to be Malay and follow Sunni Islam – this sort of discrimiination is why Malaya got split up post independence and the Chinese took Singapore.
