Stupid, crazy, psychotic, dangerous, thoughtless.
Call it what you will but this has got to be the most exhilarating natural buzz! I don’t think I’d ever have the guts to do it but if I did I would only ever do it if I had nobody around me to upset with my possible departure from life.
Check out these videos.

http://www.break.com/movies/basejumping30b.html*WARNING*
Someone gets badly hurt in the first video. You do not see any gory details and there is nothing shocking or disturbing but I thought I’d give the warning anyway. The guy survives and no doubt makes a full recovery.
*WARNING*The helicopter ride up Angel Falls also looks quite intense and that’s something I would definitely do!
Incidently. Does anybody know what the piece of classical music is in the second video? It’s awesome.
June 8, 2006 at 1:53 pm #1078428I’ve seen a worse one somewhere on the net, the guy survives, but it doesnt go well! and its all filmed on his helmet cam…… not for the feint hearted!!
i’ll hunt down the link later!

Yeah I’ve seen that GV23. Not quite as fun or exhilarating as those clips though. Intense, but in a different way! :toxic:
June 8, 2006 at 2:08 pm #1078432the tune is a rearrangement of ‘nothing else matters’ by metallica from the album metallica
its been transposed for an acoustic guitar among other instruments which makes it hard to recognize :crazy_fre:crazy_fre:crazy_fre
now you just have to find out who recorded this version…:crazy_fre

*UPDATE*
Unfortunately I was wrong. Just downloaded it (for evaluation purposes) and it has nasty Metallica lyrics all over it and it’s not half as epic as the one on that video.

To be fair, I haven’t really given them the time. I like band music but often don’t listen to much of it. Plus from 1990 – 1996 I was quite closed minded and would only listen to dance music (apart from the odd bit of kula shaker and reef)

June 17, 2006 at 5:45 am #1078431had to dig this thread back up……
at about 4.05 this morning i was at work… havin a break with mates, pretty brain dead, sitting outside and looking (daydreaming really) at the local landmark that towers above my place of work.. when i realised something was falling from the top………………………….. then i realised it had arms and legs:surprised
about 300 – 400 ft from the ground he/she let go of the chute.. and it filled with air (ish) and they dissappeared below the tree line
that made a very boring night at work interesting…. ta to whoever you were!:horay:
CHUFFED!
