Yay! Going to alton towers tomorrow!!
Theres a group of us going for my friends birthday-can’t wait!!!:weee:
I’ve only been once before and I didn’t get chance to go on everything so any things you guys recommend that I should not miss?
Oh and please everyone pray to the weather gods for us-I’m not fussy about loadsa sunshine but a dryish day would be nice!:love:

id avoid the lost train runaway train whatever it is everytime i been on it its broke down :p
and i think someone lost their head on it last yr ..
SPINBALL WHIZZA is the best ride for me 🙂 its like the waltzers on a roler coaster i spent literally hrs on tht ..
charlie n the chocolate factory is shit too .. dont get ur hopes up.
March 29, 2007 at 6:35 pm #1102070when i was at thorpe park last we went on their runaway train thing and it got stuck mid way up a bank so we where stuck quite high, when they let us down they gave us all tickets to skip queues on all other rides for the rest of the day … a bribe if ever i was given one … a good bribe though :weee:

Last time i went all me mates got on oblivion, on the front row .. it started going up slowly .. then these things started falling from the sky .. more and more started coming down .
they where tennis ball sized hail stones no joke!!!!
we where gettin further n further to the top and they where crashing down on us. it well hurt, n there was nothing u cud do .. cas ur all straped in, we cudnt protect ourselves
anyways when we got to the top it was a bit of light relief as we cud put our heads down
THEN it dawned on us .. were about to go down this hole .. and then come out of it .. fast!!
i have never experienced pain like it .. the hail stones jus hit our faces at a stupid speed . everyone was screaming .. it was awful 😥
when we eventually got off everyone was cut to shreds and our faces where just red with blood
AAAAAnd no fuckin que jump passes where given to us!! :p
So anyways yea .. hope the weather is good for ya .. 🙂

when i went with me bro i was about 10, just tall enough to go on the big rides like nemesis and oblivion. they didnt bother me, i thought they were ace, but the runaway train scared me shitless! the barrier was really loose and not keeping me in at all, and when it kinda turned on its side i could easily have fallen out if i hadnt held on. well dodgy ride is that.

… spent all day going on all the big rides and loved it, finished the day off with the tea cups and two of us threw up…. not pretty

I’ve had a great time on the rides and the longest we had to wait was 20 mins! Timed it just right it seems.
Its such a great day out for a bunch of friends to go and get hammerred and stuff!

Yeah we went on pretty much everything! We even had time to chill out and have a beer before we left, £3.10 fore a pint of stella tho!!:hopeless:
It’s a well tireing day tho-think we walked miles-I was knackered when we got back. I didn’t take much rocking to sleep last night.

March 31, 2007 at 5:38 pm #1102068They do this thing now dont they, where you have a chip thing on your wrist .. and when your queing up and on ride and stuff it clocks you. Anyways at the end you can buy a dvd with your experience round alton towers where they’ve recorded you.
How cool is that! costs like £20 though – which i suppose isnt too bad.

it makes me scared what they can do with surveillance nowadays tho, not alton towers just the shit in general…

I didn’t get any pics after the rides as I wanted some group photos of us all. We had a proper portrait thing done where we all dressed up in a bugsy malone theme with tommy guns and gangsta suits. Its classic-one to show to the grandkids me thinks!:weee:
