I think he moved even further out in the sticks and the broadband and leccy are well sketchy there.
This matey i know lives not far from him and builds all these cool electronics projects and the power kept dropping out to his house to the point it killed all his UPS batteries (drained them dead) – he moved area too but Central networks are now supplying three phase to his house as he’s got that much kit!
broadband is still well sketchy though and often the Telephone Exchange is at capacity so not everyone can get it, and mobile broadband doesn’t work for shit in some rural areas.
